I look up at Grandpa with a bright, entirely too innocent smile. "Good. You know a guy who knows exactly how to meet my requirements. Now, sneak me out of the palace."
His rich laughter quickly vanishes, instantly replaced by sheer panic. "No, no, wait! I cannot, Young Lady! You know how dangerous it is right now. We are dealing with an unknown threat! We absolutely cannot go out. Especially not into the risky Lower Forge District."
"Ehhh?!" I cross my arms, dramatically pouting my lips. "But you just said you would help me!"
"Yes, I did, but I cannot take the risk of putting you in danger," he says firmly, his protective instincts flaring up.
"But we have to go there, don't we?" I argue. "Because this Master Borin guy hates nobles, right? He won't ever come here to the palace, will he?"
"You are right, Young Lady, but—"
"Hmph!" I dramatically turn my head and look away, refusing to meet his eyes.
"We can send someone else," he tries to compromise, rubbing his temples.
