(One hour later)
I am perfectly ready. I am wearing a worn-out white shirt underneath a rough, hooded jacket pulled up high to completely cover my ears.
My freshly dyed brown hair is tucked away, and I have a scarf wrapped around my lower face all the way up to my chin—literally making me look like a cartoon thief. To top it all off, I am wearing baggy grey trousers and a pair of simple, old shoes that are at least a size too big for me.
With Elin trembling nervously beside me, I quietly sneak down to the servant's exit near the kitchens.
Most of the servants are either frantically running around on duty or fast asleep in the corners after their night shifts.
We successfully reach our rendezvous point unnoticed. Standing in the shadows is Grandpa Eldric.
And wow, he actually pulled it off! He is wearing a massive, rough brown tunic that drapes from his neck down to his knees, paired with cropped trousers and simple leather sandals.
