"We're going in?" I murmur, looking down at the dark blue water that suddenly feels very close.
"Yes. You can just hop on me. Don't worry if you can't swim," she says, her voice as smooth as a glass tide.
"I can swim, though!" I protest mildly, adjusting my glasses. "Yeah, not across a whole ocean, obviously... but won't exploring down there take a lot of time?"
"Don't worry, handsome, I won't take much of your time," Thalassara replies, drifting slightly closer. "Seven days should be enough."
"Seven days?!" I yelp. A whole week underwater?!
"Is it not possible?" she asks, leaning in. She takes both of my hands in hers, giving them a gentle squeeze while offering me the sweetest, most devastatingly beautiful smile I've ever seen.
"Hehe... it can happen!" I stammer, my brain melting completely. How am I even supposed to say no to a face like that?!
