Loki, of course, knew about the multiverse.
He did not think the multiverse was anything fun.
He might accidentally die at the hands of some strange creature.
"No, I still have to protect Asgard," the coward said.
However, Garfield was not going to let him off so easily.
"Loki, going to the multiverse to broaden your horizons will allow you to better protect Asgard later," the wretched cat said, trying to sabotage him again.
Forcing a smile, Loki refused Garfield once more. "I have not finished learning about Asgard yet. I do not want to embarrass myself if I go out."
Odin was used to scolding Thor.
No matter how much he scolded him, he was still the same foolish son who only knew how to use his hammer, reckless and impulsive, no different from his sister who only knew how to kill.
Every time Odin scolded Thor, he felt a pang of heartache, disappointed in him.
Now, Garfield's arrival, along with Loki's banter, had disrupted the atmosphere and given Odin a way out.
"Garfield, what are you doing here. Did you get into trouble too."
"No, I am a good cat. I never cause trouble. I am mainly here to find some magical materials."
Odin looked at the list Garfield handed him with suspicion.
Dragon scales, dragon teeth, Uru metal, the heart of a cosmic whale.
It was a whole string of things.
After carefully examining the list, Odin confirmed that these were the items he had bought from Asgard when he built the Temple of Earth in Kamar Taj.
He himself could not remember whether these things were still in his vault.
"I do not even remember if these things are still there or not. Let us go to my vault and take a look."
Garfield was happy to be able to enter Odin's vault again.
He might be able to grab some more good stuff while he was there.
"Father, Loki and I know what is inside. Why do we not take a look."
"Alright," Thor said, taking the list and carefully reading it. "These things are all here, but Loki and I have scattered them everywhere. Let us take you there. It will be faster that way."
Odin beckoned Thor and Loki to go together.
The two of them had played in Odin's vault since they were little, so they knew exactly what was there and what was not.
They had even caused a lot of trouble when they were young.
On the way to Odin's vault, Thor put his arm around Garfield. "Brother, what are you planning to do. You need so many magical materials."
"I opened an Everything Shop on Earth to help humans corrupted by demons or evil spirits. Since the shop in New York can only help one city, I plan to set up a portal that allows me to travel anywhere in the world."
After telling Thor about his plan, Thor gave Garfield a thumbs up. "Helping the weak is what the strong should do. I dislike those demons the most. They smell terrible, have bad tempers, and their character and drinking habits are even worse. Of course, they cannot beat me, but they always like to resort to despicable means."
"That is their fierceness, my brother. Actually, like I said, those guys are inherently evil. For example, the Frost Giants have never forgotten their revenge against Asgard. We should do something."
Loki, still unaware that he was the son of a Frost Giant, began to urge Thor to attack them again.
"Loki, the Frost Giants have a truce with us. Do not act recklessly," Odin reprimanded Loki.
Loki lowered his head. "Yes, Father, I understand."
The troublesome child.
Odin was now very troubled by Loki's ideas.
In his plan, Loki should become the king of the Frost Giants, and Thor would be the king of Asgard.
The two would bring lasting, true peace to both races, not war.
Odin, Thor, Loki, and Garfield arrived at Odin's vault.
Upon entering, they saw the same high quality replica of the Infinity Gauntlet.
Thor and Loki knew it was fake and did not give it a second glance.
They continued deeper inside, past the Eternal Flame.
Garfield spotted some strange equipment, some damaged, others intact.
Their magical fluctuations testified to their extraordinary nature.
Odin proudly pointed to these items and said to Garfield, "These are spoils of my conquests across the world. This is the weapon of a planetary emperor. This is the hand of a god. This is the heart of a void dragon. This is a phoenix."
At the mention of the phoenix, Odin recalled his first love, Phoenix.
Back then, he was young, conquering the universe with his companions.
After their marriage, Odin continued his journey into space.
Only he and Phoenix remained as his companions.
While he no longer needed to suppress Hela, and his divine power was weakening more slowly, it was only a slight delay.
Ragnarok would still come.
He needed to make more careful arrangements, especially regarding the choice of the future throne of Asgard.
He needed to bring it to a complete end before his own demise.
Although Thor was still unable to bear the role of a king, he had no other choice, did he.
Continuing on, they arrived at the place where Thor and Loki had scattered magical materials everywhere.
Looking at the chaotic mess, Garfield could not help but roll his eyes.
That rich dog.
Odin's treasury was indeed full of good things.
This was especially infuriating for those African chieftains on the magic side who toiled endlessly without even managing to acquire a single dragon scale.
Odin, seeing the magical materials scattered everywhere, was exasperated.
His two sons had turned his treasure vault into a scene of utter chaos, like a husky wreaking havoc.
It was a feat that had not happened overnight.
Loki, noticing the change in Odin's expression, began to plot his next move.
However, before he could even start, Thor impatiently grabbed his arm. "Loki, get to work."
Dragged along by Thor, Loki could not slack off in front of Odin, so he bent down and diligently began searching through the materials.
Some of these magical materials looked very similar, but their effects were vastly different.
For example, while both were blue metals, one might be pure ice while another could be a ball of ice and fire.
Loki's eyes darted around as he secretly slipped some different items into the same container when Odin and Thor were not looking.
He was curious to see what special effects the future Garfield would have when using these things.
Loki kept making subtle moves, but Garfield did not notice, since he genuinely did not recognize any of the items.
After a flurry of activity, the materials were ready.
Thor, being hospitable, gave Garfield twice the amount he needed.
Stuffing all the materials into his pocket, Garfield said goodbye to Odin, Thor, and Loki.
He opened a portal and arrived in Nidavellir.
