Roy patted the two guns at his waist. "Just you wait. I guarantee they will regret this."
Cigar in hand, he walked out the door.
Garfield watched as the old cowboy exchanged a few words with the dead ghost before pulling out his gun and sending him back to nothingness.
Decisive and ruthless.
That was the kind of person Garfield wanted.
Old Roy working for Garfield was nothing new.
He had always been at the shop when Garfield was not around, occasionally taking on temporary exorcism jobs.
Now it was just a formality.
Nothing much had changed.
Old Roy was happy to hang out at the shop when he was not working, enjoying food from all over the world, cigarettes, and cigars.
With Old Roy there, Garfield did not need to stay idle.
He planned to do something big before going to the Star Wars universe to get the holographic recorder.
Perhaps he could create a transdimensional connection similar to the New York Sanctum to help people around Earth escape the harassment of magical monsters.
This was an extremely meaningful thing, at least that was what Garfield thought.
Creating this system seemed to require quite a few magical materials, so Garfield turned his attention to his old employer, Kamar Taj, and his cheap godfather, Odin.
Kamar Taj had protected Earth for so long, so they certainly had no shortage of magical materials.
Odin's treasury contained far more than just the Ice Casket and the knockoff Infinity Gauntlet.
It was full of all sorts of strange and wonderful things.
It was just that these few items were placed at the entrance to be more conspicuous.
Odin, being a cunning old fox, knew the Frost Giants had always coveted Asgard's treasures, so he deliberately placed them at the entrance and set up the Destroyer, waiting for them to take the bait.
The remaining valuable items were stored in smaller compartments inside.
At the bottom of the Odin Treasury were the remains of some elite Asgardian warriors who had died.
In the movie, Hela was heartbroken over the death of her mount Fenrir.
She already knew the answer.
She had been imprisoned for years and had slaughtered Asgard's elite Valkyries and Berserker army.
It was no wonder Fenrir could not have survived.
This might be one of the reasons why Hela, having realized the consequences of her mistakes, had been playing her war game on Earth and was unwilling to venture into space.
Speaking of borrowing materials, Garfield naturally had to act quickly.
He opened a portal to Kamar Taj to find his master, the Ancient One.
Garfield asked, "Master?"
The Ancient One replied, "No."
Garfield asked again, "Master?"
The Ancient One said, "No."
Garfield asked a third time, "Master?"
The Ancient One said, "I will not give it to you."
Garfield said, "I will not give it away for free."
This extremely brief conversation between master and disciple clarified the matter.
Garfield knew the Ancient One must have used the Time Stone again to peer into the future.
Garfield crawled to the Ancient One's side and hugged her leg. "Master, even the richest family is running out of food."
The Ancient One slapped Garfield on the head. "You created such a huge pure gold asteroid in the universe. Who are you trying to fool if you do not have money?"
Garfield said, "Hehehe, Master, how did you know?"
The Ancient One replied, "Where do you think Kamar Taj's wealth came from? The New York Sanctum's houses did not just fall from the sky. And there are also the apprentices' food and drink."
Garfield was stunned.
It seemed he still knew too little about the Ancient One.
What was the Ancient One, who had watched countless movies over countless years with the Time Stone, really thinking?
No one but herself knew.
Garfield said, "Master, I think this money is easy to get. These things are all mundane, utterly vulgar. How about I get you something else better?"
The Ancient One ruffled Garfield's hat and questioned him. "What kind of crazy idea are you coming up with now? Tell me. Let your master hear it."
Garfield said, "How about I get you a Star Destroyer and a matching robot army?"
The Ancient One patted Garfield's head. "I knew you were going to cause trouble. Do as you please. Anyway, even after I am gone in the future, Earth will still need some technological power to protect it."
Garfield knew what the Ancient One meant.
She was just tired in the future and had passed the burden to Strange.
The Ancient One was sometimes easy to talk to, but at other times she was also notoriously stubborn.
Garfield felt it was better to leave the persuading to Strange.
If Strange could not handle it, Garfield could clean up the mess himself.
Garfield said, "Whatever you want, your little apprentice cannot stop you from doing whatever you want. Master, I will go to the library first to see what materials I need. Then I will go to Asgard and Nidavellir. If I do not have enough materials, I will come back to you."
The Ancient One was quite satisfied with Garfield's plan.
Her apprentice always favored her family.
After all, as Garfield said, even a wealthy family runs out of resources.
Building several temples on Earth would cost a lot, and many materials were not from Earth.

Arriving at the library, Garfield found the materials needed for interdimensional travel between the temples.
He discovered that several key materials were indeed not on Earth.
One example was Uru metal, which had excellent magical conductivity.
He noted down all the materials and opened a portal to Asgard.
Garfield opened the door outside the main control room of the Rainbow Bridge.
Heimdall, who had come out to take up his guard duty, bowed to Garfield. "Your Highness, greetings."
Garfield asked, "Heimdall, is my godfather here?"
Heimdall replied, "The King of Gods just returned from Earth."
Garfield said, "Then I will go over there. You go about your business."
Heimdall said, "Take care, Your Highness."
Being a flying cat was so convenient.
Garfield took off directly from the main control room of the Rainbow Bridge, crossed the city, and arrived directly at the outer perimeter of Asgard.
The Asgardian guards on the outer defensive towers bowed to Garfield and greeted him as "Your Highness."
Garfield flew over and politely nodded in response.
Arriving at Asgard Palace, Odin was in the main hall scolding Thor, who had caused trouble again, and Loki, who appeared sad but was secretly overjoyed.
When Odin saw Garfield arrive, he temporarily shut his mouth and gestured for Thor to get up.
Thor, that muscle bound brute, did not even bother with pretense.
He enthusiastically hugged Garfield and said, "Brother, thank goodness you came. Otherwise, Father would have scolded me for ages."
Seeing Garfield interrupt Odin's reprimand made Loki, who was planning to watch Thor get his hands on the bear, a little unhappy.
It was that annoying orange cat again, always trying to sabotage his plans.
He had finally managed to trick Thor into causing trouble, getting Odin to scold and dislike him, thus distancing Thor from the Asgardian throne and bringing himself closer.
But this orange cat had ruined everything.
It seemed his path of smearing Thor and continuing his quest for the Asgardian throne was long and arduous.
Loki told himself to keep it up, that he could do it.
After Thor hugged Garfield, Loki also acted like a good brother and warmly embraced Garfield. "Brother, I missed you so much."
Garfield replied, "Loki, I missed you too. Why do you not come with me? The multiverse is a lot of fun."
