Chapter 361 - GAM Ch 361: Please Die, Mephisto

Demons are unwelcome, no matter the world.

Mephisto's worries were not unfounded.

A pair of elite demon warriors could not make any substantial progress against his forces, and Mephisto was not afraid of a surprise attack on his territory by Silver City and Asgard.

On Earth, Mephisto was merely a projection.

The real Mephisto was a hundred times stronger than his clone.

Otherwise he would not have been sent back to Hell by a vengeful spirit.

Ha.

I, Mephisto, am the ruler of Hell, the Great Demon King.

I have survived countless years.

What am I afraid of.

"Alright, I will go back and prepare some elite demon warriors to accept the summons. I cannot let my reputation as Mephisto be diminished."

"Pleasure doing business with you, Mephisto."

"Pleasure doing business with you, Brother Garfield."

Lilith and Vivian, behind the counter, watched their master reach an agreement with the Demon King of Hell, Mephisto, and could not help but inwardly complain.

Their master was just as cunning as the treacherous Demon King Mephisto.

They had been by Garfield's side for many years and had never seen him suffer a loss in any exchange.

"Mephisto, the Demon King of Hell, you will regret this in the future."

Lilith and Vivian would not tell Mephisto this.

Although they came from Hell, which Mephisto ruled, they did not like him and even hoped he would die someday.

If Mephisto died, Hell would be thrown into turmoil, and perhaps the sisters could even benefit from it.

That was how pragmatic demons were.

The other sisters, Alina and Eleta, were very worried.

They felt that if Garfield made a deal with Mephisto, it would definitely affect Silver City's missionary work in the mortal realm, and countless ordinary people would be bewitched by the demon and lose their souls.

After the deal was made, Mephisto did not linger.

He quickly said goodbye to Garfield and left.

His projection still had much to do, such as actively signing contracts to develop his followers and creating vengeful spirits to expand his high end combat power.

In the world of demons, cannon fodder is plentiful.

Every moment, souls succumb to temptation and fall into darkness.

The rules of this world naturally give birth to demons, but while low level demons are plentiful, high level ones are incredibly rare.

In the harsh environment and brutal competition, countless gifted demons perish unexpectedly.

The Spirits of Vengeance are both Mephisto's favorite and his least favorite.

These creatures are powerful, but almost every generation of Spirits of Vengeance is beyond his control.

Currently, there is even a horde of Spirits of Vengeance wreaking havoc across the Earth.

Not long after Mephisto left Garfield's shop, a European man dressed like a gentleman approached the door.

He glanced at Garfield's Yorozuya shop and its sign, then frowned.

The newcomer was none other than Archangel Zadkiel, the overseer of the Spirits of Vengeance.

From the time the ancient elemental demon Zarathos was defeated and weakened by the Spirits of Vengeance and Mephisto, until finally, Zarathos's soul was absorbed into the Spirits of Vengeance by the cunning Mephisto.

Archangel Zadkiel shook his head.

He did not want to recall that past.

Mephisto had defeated his rival, Zarathos, and tricked the Spirit of Vengeance, but he himself had not gotten everything he ultimately wanted.

Zarathos's territory had been divided among the other demon lords.

The Spirit of Vengeance had indeed merged with Zarathos and was acting erratically, but he had never shown Mephisto any kindness.

Even the Ghost Riders on Earth, who were fused with the Spirit of Vengeance's hellfire, were constantly causing trouble for Mephisto.

These Ghost Riders were not under Mephisto's control, and sometimes they were not even under their own control.

If they went out of control, it would lead to widespread destruction.

Archangel Zadkiel had been tasked with overseeing the Ghost Riders on Earth to prevent them from causing irreparable disasters if they went out of control.

For many years, he had been secretly carrying out his mission.

His recent trip to New York was due to the fact that Mephisto had been visiting the United States too frequently in recent years.

According to the habits of demons, their favorite place was still war torn Europe.

Mephisto's unusual behavior piqued Archangel Zadkiel's curiosity, so he secretly followed to investigate.

Seeing Garfield's shop, he recalled the various rumors he had heard over the years.

The owner of the High Claw Group was an alien.

The High Claw Group was Earth's most powerful conglomerate.

The High Claw Group controlled Stark Industries, the largest arms supplier in the United States.

The High Claw Group had close ties with wizards.

The High Claw Group openly supported an ancient Eastern civilization in its fight against a certain island nation.

Recently, Archangel Zadkiel had heard the name High Claw Group frequently in any country on Earth that was not detached from the world order.

He had investigated the High Claw Group in New York.

Most of its leaders were members of the mystical faction, and the owner ran a general store.

Two unusually well known young girls were always guarding the store.

Archangel Zadkiel looked at the four girls in the general store.

His angelic eyes clearly revealed two to be succubi from Hell, while the other two were surprisingly angels.

Angels and demons selling things under one roof.

One selling light attribute angelic equipment, the other evil demonic weapons.

Was he still half asleep.

After Mephisto left, Archangel Zadkiel could not resist his curiosity and pushed open Garfield's shop door.

He was desperate to know why this shop was so special.

Archangel Zadkiel was unaware of the deal with Silver City because he had been active on Earth for many years without returning, just like Gabriel, who was currently traveling everywhere.

The difference between Archangel Zadkiel and Gabriel was that Archangel Zadkiel did not share Gabriel's resentment toward humans being tolerated by his own Father, which fueled Gabriel's jealousy.

Garfield, seeing Archangel Zadkiel enter, looked at him with displeasure.

Wiping his paws, Garfield cast a cleaning spell on the teaware on the coffee table.

Removing teaware contaminated by Mephisto was not so simple.

Garfield struggled to restore them to their original, uncontaminated state.

That Mephisto was truly wicked, tampering with teacups even while taking a sip of tea.

Garfield did not want to imagine the consequences if any weaker customers came to his shop later.

"It is normal for the demon kings of Hell to be ruthless," Archangel Zadkiel muttered, watching Garfield busy at work.

"Yes, but what are you doing here, Archangel. Does your Father God need me again."

"Father God."
