Johann Schmidt was born in a small German village and suffered greatly from poverty from a young age.
His father died during childbirth and even attempted to drown his own son.
He was later sent to an orphanage, but unable to bear the loneliness, he ran away at the age of seven and began a life of begging and theft.
After spending over a decade in prison, crime, and violence, Schmidt's life took a turn.
He found work as a waiter in a hotel, where he gained the appreciation of a man with a mustache while serving him.
The man even personally trained Schmidt, giving him a special uniform and a red skull mask.
However, the mustached man was unaware that Schmidt had joined the mysterious Hydra organization and become a representative of one of its factions.
Upon hearing the name Johann Schmidt and listening to Garfield's introduction, Phillips quickly recalled information about him.
Before the mustached man's plan to conquer Europe, the United States military intelligence system had obtained some information, but due to the activities of the Hydra global organization and other reasons, the US did not publicly announce this information to European countries.
The US saw the turmoil in Europe as another opportunity for its rise.
With the war in Europe becoming increasingly one sided, the US feared that Europe might grow into another superpower capable of rivaling it.
To prevent this from happening at a crucial moment, the US began secretly gathering intelligence, compiling information on key personnel in the military and special agencies and providing it to high ranking military officials for review, facilitating understanding of the enemy's situation on the battlefield.
The US plan was shrewd.
Profit from the war early on, then intervene to save the world, reaping both wealth and fame.
Schmidt began to come into the view of US military intelligence.
Those gathering intelligence on the front lines were stunned by Schmidt's ruthless and cunning methods.
His actions caused countless bloodshed.
European underground resistance forces attempted assassinations several times, all of which failed.
Eventually, rumors spread that Schmidt was a super soldier, and his information was given a special label.
Super soldier.
Phillips, a military representative in charge of special events, believed Schmidt might be a user of dark forces.
"Phillips, do not underestimate Schmidt. He is a product of a super soldier experiment, a failure, but he does not see it that way. You know."
Garfield rattled off the story of Schmidt's grudges and entanglements with Dr. Abraham Erskine to Phillips.
After hearing Garfield's introduction, Phillips felt a chill run down his spine. "Two super soldiers."
Garfield nodded. "That is right. They are not afraid of energy weapons, and their bodies surpass those of normal soldiers. One of them could wipe out your entire company."
Phillips was incredulous. "One of my companies wiped out multiple vampires and werewolves. With careful planning, we can achieve zero casualties. Impossible. I do not believe it."
"Super soldiers are not just strong because of their muscles, but also because of their brains. Every super soldier is a brilliant strategist. Of course, there are a few who are truly brainless, but that is another story."
"If I turned all the data into numbers, I could give you a list."

"If we categorize your soldiers by strength, they would be at most a three. Other stats would not exceed two, and energy would be nonexistent. Phillips's evaluation is very strict. Based on your current situation, only your intelligence and combat skills exceed three."
Hearing Garfield's assessment, Phillips could not help but frown.
He was not bragging.
In the military, aside from a few exceptionally talented generals, no one could match his strategic acumen.
This was one of the reasons he was valued for handling mystical matters.
Of course, although he was old, he believed he could still handle a few elite soldiers.
If Garfield gave him such a low score, Phillips could not help but doubt whether Garfield was telling the truth.
"I still do not quite believe it unless you do something to make me understand."
Sure enough, the US military had inherited another trait.
These guys were sometimes a bit single minded.
Garfield thought for a moment and asked Howard, "There are tanks in the factory, right."
Howard nodded. "Yes, but what are you going to do."
"Let Phillips see what is what."
Howard could not refuse his cat boss's request. "Please, you two."
Howard first cleared out his personal laboratory where the tanks were stored, and then acted as a guide, leading Garfield and Phillips there.
The two men and one cat were presented with the stored M4 Sherman medium tank prototype, which was still under testing.
Phillips's eyes practically lit up when he saw the M4.
He circled it twice like he had discovered a treasure, touching and scratching it here and there.
"Great."
"So beautiful."
"Howard, how much is this."
Howard pulled the smitten Phillips away and then politely told him, "This is still in testing. It is a prototype. Some parts are not ready for mass production yet."
"Is that so. That is a pity. But you must let me know as soon as you can mass produce it."
Howard nodded. "Okay, I will definitely let you know then."
"Alright, just a bunch of scrap metal. I will dismantle it with one paw. Now I will show you what power is."
Garfield gestured for Howard and Phillips to step back and then raised his paw.
