Chapter 462 - Battling the King of Giants

The Hippopotas, overwhelmed by the intoxicating floral scent of the Garden family's special flowers, suddenly felt its limbs turn to jelly. It collapsed onto the grass, and the raging sandstorm it had been fueling instantly dissipated into a soft breeze.

"Venusaur, Solar Beam," Yuan Xiong commanded with practiced calm.

Rows of battle-trained Venusaur raised their massive flowers, absorbing the sunlight with rhythmic intensity. They synchronized their energy, firing a combined pillar of solar destruction toward the coalition forces.

Yōta barely had time to see a flash of blinding white light before his entire army was engulfed in a sea of brilliance. "No! My Pokémon legion!"

Before he could finish his cry, darkness took him.

BOOM!

Route 210 looked as if it had been scoured by a solar flare. The scorched earth was black, and the heirs of the three clans lay groaning in the dirt. The Venusaur crawled forward slowly, planting Leech Seeds on the defeated trainers and their Pokémon. The vines sprouted quickly, draining their remaining stamina while binding them securely for the Celestic guard.

"The coalition of Bertha, Volkner, and Pastoria... is nothing more than this," Yuan Xiong snorted, beginning to clean up the aftermath.

The Clash of the Titans

Meanwhile, after Mewtwo used Ally Switch to isolate Regigigas, Feng Che stood face-to-face with the King of Giants.

"Genesect, you're up as well!" Feng Che released his Paleozoic predator.

Genesect and the restored Regidrago took the vanguard, while Feng Che's other Pokémon moved into support positions. Genesect crouched low, its four back-cannons glinting with a cold, lethal light under the sun.

"Genesect, Techno Blast! Venusaur, use Grassy Terrain to keep Regidrago's energy peaked!"

"Original Unown... lend me your strength!" Feng Che shouted, channeling his psychic energy into the runes on his hand.

The Original Unown erupted from his skin, swirling in a chaotic but purposeful dance. They manifested in the air, glowing with a brilliant white light, before diving into Regidrago's body.

The Dragon Titan was enveloped in a pillar of radiance. When the light faded, a magnificent black dragon with shimmering, iridescent scales hovered in the air. Its massive jaw-armor had transformed, and it now possessed four pairs of gargantuan black wings—one more pair than its previous form.

"The presence of the Unown is amplifying its draconic essence," Mewtwo explained. "Regidrago's power is now reaching heights it has never touched before."

Regidrago threw its head back and let out a roar that shook the very foundation of the valley. "ROAR!!!" Its aura was now equal to that of the King of Giants.

"How... how can Regidrago have a form this complete? It's impossible!" Brandon cried out. Though he was a puppet of the King, his core consciousness remained, and he gazed at the perfect Dragon Titan with a mixture of horror and fanatical greed. "Such perfection... I must have it!"

Regigigas didn't wait. It reached out its massive stone claws, preparing to use its signature move: Crush Grip. The higher the opponent's health, the more devastating the impact. White pillars of energy erupted around Regidrago, beginning to constrict with the force of a collapsing star.

"Regidrago, look out! It's a spatial crush!" Feng Che warned.

Regidrago's body suddenly shimmered. It split into two distinct entities—its Mind Core and its Power Core—shrinking its physical volume instantly. The two halves darted through the gaps in the energy pillars just before they slammed shut. Once clear, the halves merged back into the four-winged dragon.

"Brilliant," Feng Che praised. "Using its dual nature to bypass a spatial lock."

The energy pillars collided, and for a brief second, the space they occupied shattered like glass before the laws of reality forced it to mend.

"Genesect! Decidueye! Use Frenzy Plant and Spirit Shackle! Bind the King!"

Regigigas was entering its 'pre-heated' state. As its "Slow Start" wears off, its true God-tier power begins to flow. Feng Che knew he had to keep the giant immobile before it reached its peak.

Suddenly, the Poké Ball on Feng Che's belt burst open. Ditto, transformed into a second Genesect, launched itself into the air. Its eight duplicated cannons swiveled and locked onto the King of Giants.

"Eight-fold Mirror Shot!"

Eight beams of silver light streaked toward Regigigas. The King raised its massive arms, using a Slash move to physically cut through the incoming lasers. The beams refracted, exploding against the valley walls in a shower of sparks and smoke.

"The King is waking up," Feng Che noted grimly. "As its body heats up, its defense and speed are skyrocketing. We need to end this now."
