Chapter 491 - Fossil Pokémon Ecological Park, Armaldo with Dragon Attributes

"The Pokémon World League has six large ecological parks dedicated to the cultivation of endangered species," Dora explained as she led the group. "Among them is a specialized park for the resurrection of Fossil Pokémon."

"The League has many rules and strict laws. Please read the manuals I've prepared for you carefully; they contain many important notices." Dora handed a thick handbook to Feng Che and the others.

"The training grounds are on the west side of the League, and your quarters are nearby. Let's head to the bus first."

A bus shaped like a giant Pikachu was waiting at the curb. Dora led Feng Che's team aboard. The driver was a stout, honest-looking middle-aged man with a Minccino perched on his shoulder. The small gray chinchilla-like Pokémon was diligently using its fluffy tail to dust the interior of the bus. Minccino are known for their extreme cleanliness; if they spot a speck of dust, their brows furrow in a tiny, focused pout.

Feng Che looked out the window. The road was lined with towering trees where rare Pokémon peeked out from the foliage, their small eyes wide with curiosity as the "Giant Pikachu" sped by.

The bus soon passed a thirty-meter-high wall built of heavy stone. A primal roar echoed from behind the fortifications.

"That is the Fossil Ecological Park," Dora said. "We excavate ancient fossils and revive prehistoric Dragon-type Pokémon to study their differences from modern species. Even well-preserved remains are brought here. We once successfully extracted viable DNA from an Aurorus frozen in ice and cloned a specimen with a unique Ice/Dragon typing."

Dora had everyone flip to page 89. Feng Che saw a photo of a majestic Aurorus. Unlike standard fossil revivals, this one was covered in intricate frost crystals, carried a small glacier on its back, and had limbs armored in thick ice.

"Just ahead is the Fossil Museum, which houses artifacts from every region. Feel free to visit during your breaks, but do not touch the exhibits. Fossils buried for ten millennia are extremely fragile."

Suddenly, a violent impact rocked the stone wall. The bus jolted, and the driver slammed on the brakes.

A blue-gray claw, massive and jagged, punched through the "indestructible" stone wall, creating a meter-wide fissure. Primal roars erupted from within—multiple Pokémon were attempting a breakout.

Dora's expression shifted. She scrambled out of the bus window, pulling a Poké Ball from her belt. "Go, Houndoom!"

The Houndoom unleashed a Flamethrower at the protruding claw. The Pokémon inside shrieked in pain and retracted its limb. The smell of scorched protein filled the air. However, the flame only served to infuriate the beast.

"Not good," Dora muttered. She hadn't brought her full battle team, and the breakout was escalating.

The wall began to crumble under a series of blows until a giant Armaldo burst through. Typically 1.5 meters tall, this specimen stood a staggering three meters high. Its blue armor shimmered with an unusual draconic sheen.

"Houndoom, Crunch!"

Houndoom lunged, but the Armaldo countered with a swift Metal Claw, swatting the hound aside like a fly. Houndoom collapsed, bleeding from three deep gashes.

The feral Armaldo opened its maw, charging a Hyper Beam aimed directly at Dora. As the blinding light began to surge, Dora froze in shock.

A golden blur streaked across the field.

BOOM! The Hyper Beam struck the ground where Dora had stood, creating a massive crater and a wall of smoke. When Dora opened her eyes, she found herself in the arms of a handsome Zeraora.

"Are you alright, Miss Dora?" Lorelei called out, stepping off the bus. She had been observing the Armaldo's movements, but Feng Che's reaction speed had been faster.

"Thank goodness Feng Che released Zeraora in time," Lorelei exhaled. If a League official had died under their watch, it would have been a disgrace for the Kanto delegation.

At that moment, three Aerodactyl soared out through the breach. All the escapees were dripping with a thick, golden nutrient fluid—they had likely just emerged from the resurrection chambers.
