He blurred forward with terrifying speed, switching weapons mid-dash as Iyarugt appeared in his hand.

Slash!

Alan appeared in front of the Death Knight and swung Iyarugt straight at its shoulder.

Clang!

The Death Knight reacted quickly and blocked the attack with its large sword. The impact pushed it a few steps back. The ground cracked under its feet.

Alan narrowed his eyes.

'Strong.'

This wasn't a normal undead. It was a Super Named Death Knight, and its strength was close to high-rank NPCs.

Behind them, the two fireballs that targeted the Lich exploded.

Boom! Boom!

The Lich quickly raised a dark barrier, but the explosions still damaged it and interrupted its chanting.

"Annoying," Agnus muttered.

The last two fireballs reached him.

Agnus swung his sword.

Black energy covered the blade and destroyed the fireballs before they could reach him.

Boom!

Smoke spread across the battlefield.

Agnus stepped forward slowly, still smiling.

"Kekeke… you are stronger than I thought."

At the same time, the Death Knight attacked again.

It raised its sword and swung down toward Alan's head.

Alan moved slightly to the side and blocked the attack with Iyarugt.

Clang!

The sound of metal echoed loudly.

The Death Knight's strength was heavy, but Alan held his ground.

Behind the Death Knight, the Lich began casting again.

A large dark magic circle appeared in the air.

Alan noticed it immediately.

'Troublesome.'

If the Lich finished the spell, things would get messy.

So Alan moved.

He kicked the Death Knight in the chest, forcing it to step back.

Then he pointed his sword forward.

"Radiant Link."

Light exploded from the blade.

In one second, dozens of holy strikes hit the Death Knight.

Shhhk! Shhhk! Shhhk! Shhhk!

The Death Knight's armor cracked under the attacks, and holy flames began burning its body.

The undead knight was forced backward again.

Agnus' eyes sharpened.

"You're ignoring me."

Black energy gathered around his sword.

"Then fight me."

He rushed forward with Tarant's Swordsmanship.

At the same time, the Lich finished its magic.

A large dark spear formed in the sky and shot toward Alan.

Now three attacks came at once.

The Death Knight in front.

Agnus rushing from the side.

And the Lich's magic falling from above.

From the distance, Mercedes watched quietly.

Her eyes focused on Alan.

She wanted to see how he would deal with this situation.

Alan saw the three attacks coming at the same time.

The Death Knight charging from the front.

Agnus attacking from the side.

And the dark spear falling from the sky.

Alan didn't move.

Instead, he calmly raised Iyarugt.

"Reversal of Light."

A soft golden light spread around his body.

For a moment, the space around him seemed to bend.

The Death Knight's sword struck first.

Clang!

But instead of cutting Alan, the attack bounced away as if it had hit a mirror.

At the same time—

The dark spear from the sky struck the golden light.

Boom!

The attack didn't explode on Alan.

Instead, the energy twisted and turned back.

A powerful shockwave shot outward.

The reflected attacks flew back toward their owners with even greater force.

[Damage Reflected: 120%]

[Additional Holy Damage: +20%]

The reflected sword force slammed into the Death Knight.

Boom!

Holy energy exploded across its armor. The undead knight was thrown backward, crashing into the ground.

At the same time, the dark spear returned toward the Lich.

The Lich tried to form a barrier.

But it was too late.

Boom!

The spear pierced through the barrier and exploded, sending the Lich flying across the battlefield.

Agnus quickly jumped back when he saw the attack turning around.

Even then, the shockwave still forced him to slide several meters across the ground.

For the first time, Agnus stopped laughing.

"...What?"

He stared at Alan.

Meanwhile, the golden light around Alan slowly faded.

He lowered his sword casually.

Behind him, the ground was destroyed, and the Death Knight was struggling to stand again.

The Lich was badly damaged.

Alan looked at Agnus calmly.

"I told you."

He pointed the sword at him again.

"I am your killer today," Alan said as he used 100,000 Army Blockade Sword with silent invocation.

The attack spread across the battlefield.

Lower-ranked undead were instantly destroyed, turning into dust. Those who survived were affected by the Blockade effect, freezing them for four seconds and stopping all actions.

Agnus himself was forced to kneel.

Alan appeared in front of him, his sword shining with bright golden light.

"Sayonara, Agnus."

"Condemnation Edict."

The most powerful move of Holy Swordsmanship descended like a divine judgment.

The glowing sword struck Agnus' head.

Boom!

Holy power exploded.

Agnus was killed instantly.

[You have defeated Agnus – Baal's Contractor.]

[Quest Progressed.]

"Now, I just need to defeat him two more times," Alan said with a small smile.

He looked around the battlefield.

With Agnus dead, all the remaining undead turned into gray ash and disappeared as they were unsummoned.

Alan looked around the battlefield.

The ground was full of burn marks, broken bones, and gray ash.

The Death Knight and Lich had also disappeared because Agnus had died.

Alan slowly put Iyarugt back into its sheath.

At that moment, he felt someone approaching.

He didn't turn around.

"I know you're there," Alan said calmly.

A few seconds later, Mercedes stepped out from behind the trees.

She had watched the entire fight.

Her eyes moved across the battlefield and then stopped on Alan.

"Do you have any personal grudge against him?" Mercedes asked.

"Grudge?" Alan said.

"He is Baal's Contractor. He is an enemy of all humanity. But of course, an empire with a history of massacring innocent people would surely like someone like him," Alan said as he turned around.

"We will fight tomorrow. Be sure to be ready."

With that, he left.

Mercedes watched him walk away.

After a moment, she turned around as well.

Her hands clenched slightly.

His words about the Empire harming innocents still echoed in her mind.

"Harming innocents huh? I guess thats not wrong" She mumbled as she left too.
