Hero's POV
The seat was empty again. This was the second day Lavenia hadn't come to campus, and I hadn't heard a single word from her, which was making me even more anxious.
I'd sent her a few messages at that time saying I'd come see her after she turned in the assignment Professor Caston gave her. She didn't reply—or maybe she just hasn't yet.
However, when I tried calling her later, the line connected a few times with no answer before finally going dead.
She suddenly turned off her phone for no reason.
I grabbed my phone, checking Lavenia's location, just as I'd been doing ever since she said goodbye to go with Rayden Kim, and also the next day, when she didn't reply or answer my calls—I started to feel like a stalker. But it felt justified because I could never trust just anyone.
Here's the proof. Rayden seems to be deliberately keeping Lavenia with him.
