Ren stood outside, pacing back and forth as he thought about what Zuran had said to him a while back. It all sounded real because that was exactly what the Demon God would do.
But he didn't wish to dwell too much on that. Now, all he wanted to think about was a way to help these people out of this mess—if possible. And he would do that through the task the system had given him. Helping them while accumulating merits.
Ren took his time, pacing around while thinking of a way out. He was extremely serious now about finding a solution.
The people hated them, so they wouldn't accept any offers he'd render to them at all. He knew he had to find a way to lure them in better.
While he thought about that, Luria and Ce'ran came around.
"What are you two doing here?" Ren took a seat on a stool at the side. They came to stand beside him, resting their paws and hands on his lap.
"Papa made you cry. So we're here to check up on you." Ce'ran's huge eyes lit up as he stared up at Ren.
