Morning arrived, and Zuran lay there in bed.
He flipped open his eyes with a sharp gasp while staring around his environment. He was in the bedroom—a familiar sight, at least.
Zuran slowly sat up while he ran a hand around his head, soothing the ache that came that morning. He shook his head while he looked around.
Ren wasn't sleeping next to him. A brief thought gave him the reason for it: he had finally done it.
At least.
Zuran was getting down from bed when the beast cubs came rushing into his room.
Ce'ran was enthusiastic. "Where is Papa?!"
He stared at Ce'ran and Luria, who were staring at him in front, curious.
He didn't say anything as they spoke.
"Where is Papa?! We need to open the shop for business today!" Luria insisted.
Zuran stared down at the cubs who had their wide eyes on him. He guessed it wouldn't be good to break the news of what he did to them.
"No need for that. We can't rest for today. He's not around," he casually said.
