Chapter 57 - Chapter-56.5(The End of Season 1 — A Glimpse of Season 2)

To everyone who stayed until this very last chapter… thank you.

What began as a simple handwritten idea—something I built slowly, page by page, without knowing where it would truly lead—has now become something far bigger than I ever imagined. It wasn't perfect, it wasn't always easy, and it definitely wasn't fast. But it was real. And somehow, through all of that, it reached you.

It's funny, honestly. This entire journey started because someone once said I couldn't write stories. I didn't argue—I just wrote. And now, standing here at the end of Season 1, I think the story answered that for me.

To those who read quietly, to those who kept coming back, to those who believed in this world even when it was still finding its shape—you've given this story more life than I ever could on my own. I didn't expect it to reach this far, and I certainly didn't expect so many of you to be here at the end of it. But you are. And that means more than I can properly put into words.

If there's one thing I want you to take from this story, it's this:

Being good is hard. Choosing to stand, to try, to keep going when it would be easier not to—that's never simple. But for those who truly hold onto it, who refuse to let go of that path…

the reward is something far greater than strength.

And without further ado… here's a glimpse of what lies ahead.

———————————————————

Earth—the sole living world within the solar system—stood as the cradle of humankind and every known form of life. Verdant lands, endless blue oceans, and open skies formed a harmony so precise it seemed eternal… until it wasn't.

In a fleeting instant, Earth was reduced to ruin.

The oceans vanished. The land withered into dust. No voice remained to question why—no life endured to witness it.

No one… except one.

Kael.

He crawled—dragging himself across the ashen ground, retreating from something unseen. Both his legs were gone, severed beyond recovery, and terror carved itself deeply into his face. Behind him, through the drifting smoke, a figure emerged.

A man.

He advanced—slowly, deliberately—each step heavy with quiet menace. Following the trail of blood, he came to stand over Kael.

And then—

Without warning, an unseen force cleaved through Kael's right arm, severing it cleanly.

A scream tore from him—raw, broken, human.

This was Kael—but not the one fate had chosen to endure.

Kael: Why…?

Kael gasped, voice trembling between rage and despair.

Kael: Why did you do this to us?!

A pause.

Then the man spoke.

Man: …If I have nothing… why should you be spared?

His voice was calm—too calm.

Man: Why should a god bow to mortals… when he can do whatever… he desires?

Silence followed.

Then, from the thinning air itself, a distortion formed—a fracture in reality.

Five figures emerged. One woman, four men.

Without a word, the woman opened a portal, its edges shimmering like a wound in space. One by one, they stepped through, abandoning the dead world without hesitation.

Leaving it behind.

Leaving him behind.

Kael's vision blurred. Darkness crept in.

Just as consciousness began to slip from his grasp…

Something descended from the sky.

And that's it for the preview of Season 2.

Thank you all for reading, supporting, commenting, and staying with this story throughout the journey. I genuinely never expected this novel to reach this point, and seeing the support it received means more to me than words can describe.

While Season 2 is currently in development, I've also opened a Patreon page where I'll be posting early drafts, character designs, lore, worldbuilding, and behind-the-scenes development before official release.

For anyone interested in supporting the series or seeing the development side of The Paragon, you can check my bio for the link.

Again, thank you for everything. Season 2 will be bigger, deeper, and far more ambitious than Season 1.

Season 2 is set to release next year, expected in early to mid-2027. And 5 chapters are scheduled to be released per week instead of 3.
