I walk the battlefield.
Not for the tactical assessment — Kai is running that from the command position, the specific post-engagement inventory of position, capability, and the variables the assessment needs to update the next-stage planning. I'm walking for the reason that has nothing to do with the planning.

The wolves who were in the outer positions when the lesser god arrived and who the lesser god's field presence found before the Direwolf power could redirect the engagement. The humans from Lyra's network who were in the scatter and who the scatter's direction put in the wrong place when the divine fire that accompanied the lesser god's arrival chose its landing points.
