"I... I can't," Sofia stammered, shaking her head. "I'm freezing. I think the poison made me sensitive to the cold."
Lucas stopped, his shirt half-open, revealing the hard, tanned planes of his chest. He looked at her, his eyes narrowing slightly. He didn't need his Alpha senses to know she was lying. He stepped toward her, his presence suddenly overwhelming.
"Are you feeling insecure, Sofia?" he asked softly.
