As the car slowly pulled away, Adrian glanced at the scene one last time, his eyes narrowed yet bright with clarity as he searched through the shadows.
He didn't know why but he had the feeling someone had escaped their grasp and is definitely not just simple.
After a moment, he shook his head and withdrew his stare out of the window. "I will look into that later." He mused.
Then his gaze locked on the woman in his arms. The cut on her body had already healed and much faster than the other time.
Her face was etched with exhaustion.
The night had been quite exhausting. He had always suspected the summit to be a trap for himself.
But who would have expected Stella would also be targeted.

Adrian had watched Lucas escort Stella carefully out of the hall and he sighed with relief.
At least she would be safer as long as she stayed out of their sight.
