FENG LANG
I slammed on the horn as I easily overtook three cars in front of me on the highway. My eyes darkened with fury when a pair of red and blue lights flashed in my rearview mirror.
"Fucking police" I muttered under my breath as I confirmed how far we were from the destination on the navigation system.
Twenty minutes.
I was sure I could hold them off till then—at least till I dropped Yichen off.
I wanted to take him to my place, where he'd been staying the last few days. He had a supply of the drugs and suppressants that he usually took during this period, but for some reason, he insisted on going back to his place where he shared with Long.
I'd be lying if I said his choice didn't sting. I know I was the one who gave him up, but I never expected him to choose the fucker over me at some point, especially on a day like this.
