Chapter 83 - Blood Magic Revealed

"Why are there a few pages missing from this book?" Irene turned to the end and found that key pages had been torn off.

"I didn't think it was safe to keep them around, so I tore off the key pages and burned them. The specific fusion method is only recorded in my mind." Adrian thought for a while and didn't tell the truth, because he couldn't explain how he'd gotten the blood fusion potion formula.

Irene nodded. The fewer people who knew this level of secret information, the better. Although Adrian had been more cautious in doing this, it wasn't wrong.

But after thinking about it, Irene realized something was off again.

"So you found a book in the Restricted Section and dared to follow the method above to fuse blood?"

"Did you forget how I taught you? What if the content in this was nonsense?" Irene grabbed Adrian's cheek angrily and said with frustration.

"But this book makes a lot of sense," Adrian said with disappointment, though he felt weak inside. He couldn't say the system had confirmed it.

Besides, he'd worked hard to improve his strength because he wanted to save his life.

Irene didn't know what Adrian was thinking and kept lecturing for more than half an hour with no intention of stopping.

After reading Origin of Blood, Irene understood the risks involved. In her opinion, the fact that Adrian was still standing here now was completely the result of overwhelming luck.

Only when her throat was dry did Irene stop. Then she asked about Adrian's physical condition and whether he felt uncomfortable after fusing unicorn blood.

"No, it's better than expected." Adrian shook his head quickly and patted his chest to show that his talent had exploded and his strength had improved.

And he only required concentration to greatly increase his thinking speed. He could learn all kinds of spells as soon as he tried them, though it consumed more energy (grade points).

Adrian almost attributed all the abnormal phenomena in his body to the blood fusion.

Although Irene couldn't quite believe he could get so many benefits after bloodline fusion, the facts were right in front of her, so she had to believe it.

After all, Origin of Blood did mention that this method could improve a wizard's talent.

"Then the mysterious spell that Dougt said you used to defeat the law enforcement team is your newly acquired blood magic?" It took a long time for Irene to completely digest this information before she remembered the incident.

"Well... this is it... Expecto Patronum!" Adrian waved his wand and for the first time fully demonstrated his blood magic in front of Irene, the unicorn Patronus!

White mist gushed out from the tip of his wand and finally gathered into an illusory, holy creature.

It stepped into the void, surrounded by white mist and light. Its neck was raised high, faintly giving off a powerful aura.

Adrian's thoughts moved, and the illusory Patronus rushed toward the table and chair on the right as fast as lightning, pulling out a long white trail in the air.

It reached the chair in an instant. Its illusory body passed directly through it, then the solidified form lifted the original wooden table from its horn before passing through the middle of another chair in the next second.

Irene stared intently. Although she'd heard Dougt boast about how powerful this spell was before, she didn't understand its power until Adrian demonstrated it.

This attack mode was simply impossible to guard against. Any wizard who didn't understand this blood magic would suffer a huge loss.

No wonder the law enforcers in the wizarding market had been defeated by this magic.

Irene even wondered if she could defeat her son now.

"It's a pity the physical manifestation consumes too much magic power. I can't use it many times." Adrian didn't think it was a big deal but was very dissatisfied with the huge consumption of blood magic. After battles, he felt completely drained.

"Magic power will increase as you grow up slowly," Irene gave him a look and said. How could such powerful magic have no limits?

Adrian nodded helplessly, but the growth of natural magic power was too slow.

However, showing the blood magic and taking out the book Origin of Blood were just to dispel Irene's doubts. At least the goal had been achieved now.

So Adrian asked about the question that had been puzzling him.

"Since the Ministry of Magic wants to thoroughly investigate the spread of dark magical items, why don't we just make some defensive or support magical items?"

'Like the crescent moon pendant you gave me...'

Adrian had originally wanted to add this sentence but just remembered the pendant was broken, so he closed his mouth again.

"It's not as simple as you think. When I teach you ancient runes tomorrow, you'll understand," Irene shook her head, then said again.

"As for now, let's clean up the dark magical items in the shop."

Adrian had no choice but to help Irene remove all the items in the store, putting them into the large box in the basement to be transferred to another place later.

In the process of moving them, Adrian touched these dark magical items quite a bit. Using the identification function of the system, he could easily see their effects.

Most of them were curses or triggers with all sorts of strange effects. There were elegant rings that made the wearer unlucky for a period of time, and artificial hands that could trigger corrosion magic after injecting magic power. Adrian was amazed.

If he could get magical items like Irene had, coupled with the blood magic Patronus, even if he faced some dark wizards, he'd be confident of winning!

Then he wouldn't need to hide behind the scenes and snipe from the shadows every time.

This was why Adrian had always wanted to learn magical item-making with Irene.

After putting the last skull-shaped magical sculpture into the basement and coming out again, Adrian saw Irene standing at the door with a wooden signboard beside her.

Adrian walked out curiously and saw the wooden signboard was covered in mud and dust. He didn't know how long it had been stored.

"Scourgify!" Irene pointed her wand at it. Within moments, the dust and dirt on the sign were stripped off, revealing the words below.

Blackwood Unusual Magical Items Shop

After Adrian took a look, he couldn't take his eyes off it.

"What the hell is this name?"
