A sudden bright flash and Jun appeared on the teleportation platform. His body was still weak, but he quickly steadied himself and looked around. The lab was dimly lit with a soft blue glow. And right in front of him a girl stood there.
A gun in her hand aimed directly at Jun. She was strikingly beautiful. Her body was fit and toned, and her outfit highlighted her curves clearly. Her eyes were sharp, yet there was a strange depth within them.
"Who are you… and how did you teleport here?" she asked coldly.
Jun smirked slightly,"This lab belongs to Uncle Frank… and I come here often."
The girl tightened her grip on the gun,"Who exactly are you?"
Just then, a voice came from behind,"Ruhi, lower the gun. He is Jun, my friend's son."
It was Frank. Ruhi immediately lowered the gun, but her gaze remained fixed on Jun.
Frank stepped forward,"Jun, how are you, my son?"
Jun gave a tired smile.
Then, glancing at Ruhi, he said teasingly,"By the way, Uncle… such beauty at this age?"
Frank laughe,"You're only saying that because Mika isn't here."
Jun shook his head,"That's not it… but seriously, who is she?"
Frank replied calmly,"She is Ruhi. She has no one in this world. I found her in the market being sold like a slave… I brought her from there."
Jun's expression turned slightly serious.
Frank added,"But here, she's not a maid or slave. She lives like everyone else."
Jun nodded slowly,"Alright, Uncle."
Just then, Frank noticed Jun's leg. Fresh blood was seeping through the bandage.
Frank's expression turned serious,"What have you done to yourself?"
Jun took a breath and explained everything The eagle attack… the fall… the injury everything.
Frank listened silently. Then he said to Ruhi,"Bring the bandages from the table."
Ruhi left immediately. Meanwhile, Frank started preparing coffee. A few moments later, Ruhi returned with the bandages. Frank handed Jun the coffee.
"Give me your leg."
Jun didn't argue. Frank carefully cleaned the wound. As he applied the bandage, Jun winced in pain. Ruhi stood nearby, watching him sharply. After finishing, Frank handed him a painkiller.
"Get some rest."
Jun nodded. Then he opened his bag.
"Uncle… these are for you."
He placed multiple sample pouches on the table. Frank checked them.
"Hmm… these are useful."
He kept a few aside and returned the rest.
"I already have these. Sell them online."
Jun nodded.
"Alright."
Then he asked directly,"How is my mother's health?"
Frank looked into his eyes.
"Go and see for yourself."
Jun nodded again.
Then, after a slight pause, he said,"Uncle… if you don't mind, can Ruhi work for me?"
Frank looked at him immediately. Then smiled slightly,"My boy… Mika will kill you if she finds out."
Jun replied confidently,"That won't happen. You can handle her."
Frank thought for a second.
Then looked at Ruhi,"Ruhi… from today, you'll go with Jun."
And Jun take care of her. Ruhi lowered her head and nodded. She stepped forward, about to bow to Jun But Jun raised his hand and stopped her.
"That's not necessary."
His voice was soft,"You're free to go wherever you want… do whatever you want. Just help me when I ask."
Ruhi looked at him. For the first time, there was a slight change in her eyes.
"Alright," she said quietly.
Jun stood up,"Uncle, I'm heading to the hospital."
Frank nodded,"Okay."
Then he said to Ruhi,"Take my car"
A few minutes later Ruhi started the car. Jun sat in the passenger seat.
The car moved smoothly out of the lab. For a while, there was silence. Then Ruhi glanced at him,"You… are quite different from others."
Jun looked outside the window,"In what sense?"
Ruhi smirked faintly,"You're not treating me like an object or a slave."
Jun replied casually,"Who would treat such a beautiful girl like a slave or a maid?"
Ruhi stayed silent for a few seconds.
Then, slightly blushing, she said,"Are you flirting with me?"
Jun replied,"Why would I flirt with you?"
Ruhi said,"The way you talk… it feels like you are."
Jun changed the topic,"Tell me something… do you know how to use the internet?"
Ruhi nodded,"Yes, Master Frank taught me everything."
Jun said,"Call him Uncle, not Master."
Ruhi nodded again,"Alright… Master Jun. From today, I'll call him Uncle."
Jun sighed slightly,"Will you do something for me?"
Ruhi replied instantly,"What is it? There's no need to ask… just order."
Jun shook his head,"It's not an order. Just create an account online and list the items I brought for sale."
"Alright," Ruhi said.
Then she added,"And we've reached your destination… the hospital."
The car slowly came to a stop.
