The car slowly entered the hospital gate. It was afternoon, but inside the hospital, the same familiar smell lingered medicine, antiseptic. Jun opened the door and stepped out without saying anything. Ruhi followed him.
"Should I come with you?" she asked.
Jun replied directly,"Yeh you can"
Both of them entered the corridor. Doctors and patients were moving around. Jun stopped at the third floor. The room door was right in front of him. He held the handle… But didn't open it immediately.
For a second, he just stood there. Ruhi looked at him… but said nothing. Finally, Jun pushed the door open. Inside the room, his dad Steven and uncle Dr. Sam were sitting on chairs.
And on the bed his mother, Alice.
"Dad…" Jun said softly.
Steven turned.
"Jun…"
There was exhaustion in his eyes… but also relief.
"How are you? And how is Mika?" Steven asked.
Jun simply nodded,"I'm fine, Dad… and maybe she is too."
He stepped forward and stood near the bed. He held his mother's hand. Cold… completely cold. Ruhi stood near the door. Watching everything quietly. Jun didn't say anything. He just stood there. A few seconds passed.
Then slowly, his voice broke,"Mom… I'm back…"
No one said anything, silence spread throughout the room. Even Dr. Sam sat quietly beside Steven.
Just then Shreya entered the room.
"Big brother…" Her voice trembled.
She walked straight to Jun and hugged him,"You're okay, right?"
Jun placed his hand on her head,"Yes… I'm fine."
Shreya noticed Ruhi,"Who is she big Brother…?"
Jun replied directly,"Ruhi, Uncle Frank sent her to help me with some work."
Shreya nodded, slightly confused,"Oh…"
Ruhi simply said,"Hi."
Silence filled the room again.
Then Steven said,"You should go home and rest."
Jun didn't argue,"Okay."
The same old house… but everything felt slightly different now. Ruhi looked around,"Master… you live this far outside the city?"
Jun replied calmly,"You know… at first, this place felt suffocating. But now… I've grown attached to it. These dark rooms used to scare me… now they feel like heaven."
Then he went inside straight to his room. He opened the door. Everything was still there Gravity chamber, Teleporter, Weapons, and Manuals.
Ruhi was slightly surprised,"You… train here too?"
Jun replied,"I started in the lab… but Uncle arranged all this here for me."
Without wasting time, he removed his shirt and threw it aside, then walked toward the chamber. Ruhi felt a little awkward… but stayed silent. Jun entered the chamber and adjusted the settings up to 2.3x.
Then closed the door Instantly pressure feel in the chamber room. His muscles tightened. He immediately started doing push-ups. Ruhi stood outside, watching him. His breathing became heavy… but he didn't stop.
After some time, Jun opened the door and stepped out. His entire body was drenched in sweat. Ruhi handed him a towel. Jun took it without looking.
"Thanks."
Just then "Big brother!" Shreya's voice echoed.
She entered the room,"You came and started training right away."
Then she looked at Ruhi,"So… is she staying here?"
Jun replied shortly,"Yes, She'll stay here. In the room next to yours."
Shreya raised an eyebrow.
"Oh…"
She looked at Ruhi… then at Jun.
"Got it."
Jun said directly,"There's nothing to 'get'."
Shreya smiled slightly,"Relax Big Brother I was just joking."
Everyone was sitting in the living room. Ruhi served the food. Just then the door opened. Mika walked in. Her eyes went straight to Jun.
"When did you come back?"
Then her gaze shifted to Ruhi. A moment of silence and suddenly Mika moved too fast. So fast that neither Ruhi nor Jun could react. She grabbed a knife from the table and placed it directly on Jun's neck.
Looking straight into his eyes, she said,"Who is she?"
Jun replied calmly,"Ruhi."
Mika asked,"Why is she here?"
Jun answered,"For work."
Mika stared at Ruhi for a few seconds. Then back at Jun.
"Interesting."
The atmosphere turned heavy. Just then
"hey brother how are you!" Sanju entered, laughing. Mahi was with him.
"Looks like there's a party going on," Sanju joked.
Mika said,"Come, join the party then."
Sanju smirked,"I'm not into parties. Anyway, now that you and this new girl are here, Jun will forget us."
Before he could finish Mika threw a knife at him. It grazed his face and stuck into the wall behind.
"Aah! I'm dying! Someone call an ambulance! Mika killed me!" Sanju fell dramatically.
Mahi sighed,"Get up. That's enough."
Sanju stood up and grinned,"Well well… Jun, where did you find such beauty?"
Before he could continue Mahi punched him hard in the face and walked upstairs.
Sanju rushed after her,"Darling, I was just joking!"
She didn't respond.
Mika then said,"If you wanted someone to work for you, you could've just told me."
Jun replied,"It's not like that. She'll just handle things when I'm not here… like teaching Shreya and selling my items online."
Mika placed the knife back. Then looked at Ruhi.
"I don't care who Jun likes… but if anyone tries to hurt or kill him…"
Her voice turned cold,"I won't spare them. Remember that your One mistake… and I'll kill you."
Ruhi replied calmly,"Okay, I'll keep that in mind."
Then she walked out. Jun finished his meal and went back to his room for training. Ruhi stood near the door.
Jun said,"Come inside. Sit on the chair. You'll be living here from today… just like Mika, Sanju, and Mahi. Just teach Shreya and take care of her."
Ruhi nodded,"Alright, Master… but don't you ever stop?"
Jun wore his gloves,"If I stop… where will the money for my mother's treatment come from?"
Ruhi didn't say anything. She just looked at him. Jun walked toward the chamber again. And Ruhi… kept watching him.
