Jun steadied his injured leg and slowly raised both hands.
"No, no… I just arrived here. I don't know who destroyed your shelter."
The people in front of him still looked at him with suspicion. As the dust settled, Jun could now clearly see that these weren't ordinary people.
All of them were armed. Some carried curved swords, some had short blades, and one even had a folded metal bow resting on his shoulder.
One man stepped forward and spoke sharply,"Who are you? And show your face first."
Jun stayed silent for a second.
Then said calmly,"I can't show my face… but my name is Omnis."
"Omnis?" someone from behind spat,"That sounds like a Latin name. Tell your real name."
Jun raised his hands a bit higher,"That is my real name."
But no one believed him. Their suspicion only grew stronger. Then
"Everyone, move aside."
A sharp, authoritative voice echoed. Everyone, including Jun, turned toward the source. Through the fading dust a beautiful lady stepped forward.
She was fully covered in an armor suit which shows her full body curve properly. From head to toe. Her suit was smooth, battle-ready, with blue-white energy lines glowing across it. In her right hand, she held a long blade. From the joints of her left arm armor, faint electric sparks crackled. She stopped directly in front of Jun.
Without wasting time, she said,"Name"
Jun looked at her calmly,"Omnis. I'm from Z City, Elysira."
The girl tilted her head slightly,"Don't lie. Tell me your real name… and show your face."
Jun felt slightly awkward this time,"I'm telling the truth… my name is Omnis."
A second of silence. Then
"Enough nonsense."
Almost everyone around drew their weapons at once,"Talking is useless, Kill him."
"Wait..." Jun tried to speak.
But no one listened and next second they attacked. A man from the left lunged with a sword. Jun instantly pulled out his dual blades from his suit's hidden slots and dodged the first strike.
Blades came from three directions. Jun moved purely on instinct. One sword grazed past his face. Another passed near his shoulder. A third targeted his legs. Jun jumped back and spun sideways.
Then slashed lightly at one attacker's wrist just to create distance.
"I don't want to fight!" Jun shouted.
But no one cared. The armored girl had been watching silently till now. But the moment she saw Jun surviving multiple attackers. Her stance changed,"Everyone, step back."
Without warning the lady rushed. Too fast, Jun only saw a blur. Her blade, charged with electricity, came straight toward his chest and neck. Jun barely managed to block but the shock traveled through his blades into his arm. His entire arm went numb for a moment.
"Fast…" Jun thought.
She didn't stop. Angle after angle and attack after attack. Jun dodged the first few. But slowly pressure built. His injured leg slowed him down. His stamina started draining fast. And worst of all there was no clear escape.
Then one option came to his mind.
Copy.
Jun focused on her. And quietly activated his Mimic Ability. Suddenly his suit began to change. Armor lines shifted and blade design altered. And around him the same electric aura began crackling.
Everyone froze.
"What the...?!"
"That's impossible!"
"No one can do that without a high-level mimic or copy ability!"
"What kind of ability changes even the suit?!"
Now Jun's sword looked exactly like hers. Electric sparks circled his shoulders and forearms. For the first time the girl stopped.
"…Interesting," she said softly.
Jun pointed his blade at her,"If anyone tries to attack me again… I'll release poison here. No one will survive."
The surrounding people hesitated. But the girl didn't move.
She said calmly,"Then try it."
Jun locked eyes with her,"You won't be able to stop me. That's a challenge."
Inside his mind, he spoke,"Red Eye… can you fly from here?"
Her voice answered,"I can, Master… but there are no wings."
Jun formed a plan instantly.
Then he said to her,"Why should all these people die in our fight? Let's fight in the sky."
The girl laughed,"Do I look like a fool to you?"
Jun shrugged,"No, But if you want to see them all dead… fine. I'll kill them."
And the moment he said that he compressed the crackling energy in his hand and formed an electric sphere and threw it straight toward the crowd.
The girl reacted instantly. She dashed forward and destroyed the energy ball mid-air.
A bright flash exploded for one second everyone's attention shifted.
And that was all she needed a silver-white blur and a perfect opening. She appeared behind Jun And drove her blade straight through the gap in his side armor.
Jun froze. His breath stopped. Everyone around stood in shock. The electric aura flickered violently. She stood close to him.
Her voice was low and cold,"So… you said you'd kill them all?"
