"Even if what you said is true, I'm pretty sure Zeus has long since blocked out information like that."
Lucas spoke casually, a trace of amusement hidden in his tone.
"You have no idea how many Earthlings have shouted Zeus's name over the past few centuries. If it really worked the way you think, he'd probably be driven insane by now."
Lucas chuckled inwardly.
Truth be told, the stories of the ancient godly races were quite fascinating to him.
However, what interested him far more were the treasures hidden within their vaults.
Take Odin's treasury, for example—items like the Reality Stone, the Eternal Flame, and countless other priceless artifacts.
And Zeus's vault?
Lucas clicked his tongue inwardly. There was no way it held anything inferior.
Still, now wasn't the time.
Odin and Zeus were once god-kings who dominated entire eras. Odin alone had carved out vast territories across the galaxy, intimidating countless cosmic races and space pirates into leaving Earth alone. Otherwise, with Earth's level of technology, it would have been looted countless times already.
As for Zeus—whether in Marvel or DC—he was always portrayed as the King of the Gods.
Even in Marvel's latest films, where Zeus appeared almost comedic, Lucas knew it was nothing more than misdirection meant to fool Thor.
If Zeus were truly weak, how could the gods possibly obey him?
Thus, in Lucas's plans, until he possessed overwhelming strength—at the very least reaching or approaching Super Saiyan level—he would not provoke these ancient godly races.
Even dealing with a weakened Odin would require meticulous planning.
Shaking his head, Lucas cleared those thoughts away.
He turned to Coulson.
"Let him out."
Coulson hesitated.
"I think—well… alright."
He had wanted to say that this man was extremely difficult to restrain, but remembering Lucas's terrifying strength, he immediately stepped forward and opened the alloy holding cell.
Thor stepped out, rolled his neck, and said solemnly,
"Thank you, brother of Midgard. I must now reclaim Mjolnir, restore my power, and return to Asgard to deal with my treacherous brother."
"You already know Loki was lying?" Lucas asked.
Thor snorted.
"That wretch has lied since childhood. When I tried to retrieve Mjolnir a few days ago, he appeared before me and claimed Father was dead. I was devastated."
He glanced at Coulson.
"However, thanks to your confinement, I had time to calm down—and think clearly."
Suddenly, Thor frowned deeply.
"Wait… how do you know all of this?"
"The Sorcerer Supreme told me," Lucas replied with a grin.
Thor nodded slowly.
"Ah… that explains it. If it came from that being, then it's no surprise you know these things."
The Sorcerer Supreme.
The name was immediately etched into the minds of Tony, Clark, and Coulson.
Soon, the group arrived before Mjolnir.
The hammer lay embedded in the ground at an angle, looking oddly majestic.
Thor was the first to rush forward. He grabbed the handle with both hands and pulled with all his might.
Crack!
"Oh, fuck!"
Thor released it instantly and staggered back, clutching his lower back and cursing.
"…What just happened?" Tony asked, stunned.
"Probably didn't warm up," Lucas replied helplessly.
"Pulled too hard and strained his back."
Lucas walked over and placed a hand on Thor's waist.
"Relax. Don't resist. I'll treat it."
Thor trusted him instinctively and relaxed his body.
A warm, gentle energy flowed into him, and the pain vanished almost instantly.
"This is… an ancient Midgardian ki technique?" Thor asked in surprise.
"Something like that," Lucas said, not elaborating.
"I wasn't ready earlier," Thor declared. "I'll try again!"
He stretched, stepped forward, and grasped Mjolnir once more.
"Brother… don't be stubborn."
His expression was solemn and focused, as if he were reliving the moment he first wielded the hammer.
Anyone unaware of the situation might have thought he was coaxing a lover.
Thor roared and pulled with everything he had.
His muscles bulged violently, veins standing out. Even Tony couldn't help but stare.
Yet no matter how hard he tried—no matter how deeply his feet sank into the ground—Mjolnir did not move an inch.
"No… this can't be…"
Thor finally released the hammer and collapsed onto the ground.
His face was ashen, his eyes empty—like someone whose entire worldview had shattered.
"Mjolnir has rejected me… It no longer accepts me…"
"It's just a hammer."
Tony strode forward.
He patted Thor on the shoulder.
"Bro—uh, uncle—wait right there. I'll lift it for you."
Thor was already mentally broken and barely registered Tony's words.
Wearing his Mark armor, Tony walked up to the hammer, took a deep breath, and grabbed the handle with one hand.
He had absolute confidence in his armor's power.
He pulled.
Nothing happened.
"Huh?"
Annoyed, Tony added his other hand.
Still nothing.
"Oh, come on—damn it!"
Suddenly, multiple vents opened on his arm armor, blasting white-hot jets of flame.
"My pulling force is already over three tons!" Tony exclaimed.
"How is this thing still not moving?"
More thrusters deployed from his legs and back, erupting with blazing exhaust.
"I should be able to pull twenty tons right now! How is it still not moving?!"
"Just wiggle already, you stupid hammer!"
Finally, Tony gave up.
He walked back to Thor, utterly defeated.
"Alright. I believe it now. Magic—or divine nonsense—really does exist."
"How about you try?" Lucas asked, turning to Clark.
"You go first," Clark replied casually.
"I probably won't succeed," Lucas said.
"Odin must have inscribed special runes and enchantments. Without meeting the conditions, no one can lift it."
As Lucas spoke, he stepped toward Mjolnir.
Thor looked up.
"You're right. My father did exactly that. None of you can lift it."
"I just don't understand…"
"What have I still done wrong?"
Ignoring Thor's muttering, Lucas placed both hands on the handle.
He knew the odds were slim—but he wanted to try.
"Ha!"
