Em awoke in the infirmary (again). Ri sat next to her, looking slightly dazed.
"What happened?" Em asked and tried to sit up. A pounding headache hit her.
Ri jerked out of her trance.
"You… you're so powerful; I never expected this."
Em frowned as Ri's reaction started to scare her. "What do you mean?" Em asked Ri, looking worried.
"You have multiple powers: hydrokinesis, aquatic adaptation and Ichthyic Communication, there are more but I can't remember. He said you had complete control over anything that contains water." A voice next to her bed said. She turned around and realized it was Dolian.
"But no one has had them for centuries," Em said, her face turning pale. "And such powerful ones too."
Em decided to test her power. She asked Dolian to bring her a bucket of water. Em envisioned the water twisting up, turning into something that she wanted. Em opened her eyes, and before her stood a beautiful sampaguita flower carved of ice. She took it and handed it to Ri, who happily accepted it.
"It's gorgeous," Ri exclaimed.
"I'm glad you like it," Em said. She caught a weird expression on Dolian's face.
"Is something wrong, Dolian?" Em asked worriedly.
"No,... nothing. It's just I can't believe I'm friends with someone this powerful."
"It's nothing. I'm still myself, aren't I," Em grinned. "Anyways, how long have I been out?"
"A day. I was so worried," Ri replied.
"Then would you guys want to help me finish the questing form?"
They huddled together and filled out the form and Em decided to have James (because she had to), Selene (because she couldn't find anyone else), Dolian and Ri. She hurried to the principal's office to submit the form and he was very happy with her choices except for Ri and Dolian.
"Are you sure you want them to be on your quest? They're not very helpful, I mean, Riko doesn't even have any power."
"Well, I'm the quest leader aren't I? So if those are the people I choose and you will accept it."
Em was so mad that she stormed out of the office and headed towards the arena (she seemed to be coming there a lot lately when she was in a bad mood or bored because swordplay helped her focus on one thing). Just before she stepped into the arena, she saw someone already there, James! He was practicing with his shirt off.
"Eeeek!" Em thought and quickly tried to go away but James saw her.
