—------------------—

On the surface of the sea, the waves surged violently. Pitch-black thunderclouds spread from the other side of the ocean toward the waters of the Hisui Region, and within those clouds, thunder crackled densely.

A blue Pokémon was flying across the sea toward the Hisui Region. It had its blue arms crossed, a long, sharp purple horn on its head, and purple spots of varying sizes and shapes scattered across its sky-blue upper body. Its chest was purple, while its lower body was covered by a pure white cloud. A thick, long purple tail, resembling a spiked flail, swung out from the cloud wrapping its body, with long spikes at the end of each spherical segment.

The Pokémon, which overall looked humanoid, sat atop the cloud as it flew toward the Hisui land.

Wherever it passed, thunder roared incessantly, and the Pokémon on the sea's surface all fled in terror.

On the other side of the strait, a sudden gale whipped up, swirling the seawater high into the air to form a terrifying waterspout, advancing toward the Hisui land on this side of the strait.

In the center of the waterspout, another humanoid Pokémon also had its arms crossed. However, its body was primarily dark green, with purple spots of various sizes and shapes distributed across its upper body. Its tail was large, curled, and purple with spiral patterns, and its lower body was likewise a pure white cloud.

The two Pokémon respectively carried terrifying thunderclouds and a massive waterspout, along with gales strong enough to overturn everything, as they made their way toward the Hisui land.

At this time, Lucas and Cynthia were still in the forest looking for Pokémon unique to the Hisui Region.

The two were chasing a Decidueye deeper into the forest.

"Stop running, I just want to take a picture of you!"

Lucas sat on Ninetales' back, watching the Decidueye jumping through the trees, and kept shouting.

Cynthia rode on Garchomp's back, silent, her gaze cold and piercing.

Decidueye: Take a picture? Although I don't know what taking a picture is, I know that nothing good happens when a bunch of powerful Pokémon chase me.

Seeing that the Decidueye was about to lose them, Lucas gritted his teeth. "Darkrai, put it to sleep!"

A massive Dark Void was hurled from the shadows by Darkrai toward the Decidueye.

Struck by the sudden Dark Void, the Decidueye stumbled and jumped from the tree toward a bright area ahead.

Lucas and his group also burst out of the forest. Facing the dazzling sunlight, Lucas couldn't help but squint, only opening his eyes once he adjusted.

Before them was a vast grassland, already lush with green. The grass swayed back and forth with the wind, many flowers were in full bloom, and numerous Pokémon were running and playing freely on the plains.

The air currents pressed down the wild grass around Lucas. Cynthia jumped down from Garchomp's back and stood in the grass, taking a deep breath as she looked at the vibrant spring scene.

"Spring has already arrived here."

Cynthia said.

Lucas got down from Ninetales' back and nodded. "It seems we accidentally wandered too far."

Cynthia looked back; the forest entrance was dark and gloomy. "Then what should we do?"

Lucas thought for a moment. "How about we have a picnic?"

Lucas raised an index finger and suggested, "We haven't tried picnicking on the grassland yet. Looking at the time, we probably won't make it back for a meal, so why not just settle it here on the grass?"

"What do you think?"

Lucas looked at Cynthia.

Cynthia placed her finger against her smooth chin, thought for a moment, and then nodded. "Then I'll have to trouble you."

Lucas waved his hand generously. "No big deal. Gengar, get to work."

As soon as Lucas finished speaking, all the Pokémon jumped out of their Poké Balls.

Gengar happily pulled a large iron grill out of its four-dimensional stomach, followed by various seasonings and an electric rice cooker——"

Darkrai: How are you going to use an electric rice cooker out here?!

Gengar glanced at Darkrai and gave a disdainful cry.

After Gengar used Milotic's Life Dew to wash the rice, it looked at Luxray. Luxray walked over, gently placed its paws on the two metal prongs of the rice cooker's plug, and then electric arcs lit up on its body.

Cooking rice...

Darkrai looked at the glowing indicators and was speechless.

It really is better to eat with you guys.

Darkrai said wordlessly in its heart.

Gengar grabbed the large grill and walked past Darkrai.

Bumpkin.

Darkrai: ——

Cynthia had already become accustomed to the strange operations of Lucas and his Pokémon.

The things other people's Gengars carry are all battle items and daily necessities, but the things Lucas's Gengar carries are all food, food, and more food. Oh, right, there's also herbal tea; those are for drinking.

Hearing Cynthia's words, Lucas stood up for Gengar. "It does carry daily necessities."

Cynthia was stunned as she saw Gengar pull out a square table, place it on a blanket that had been laid out at some unknown time, then take out several cushions and arrange them neatly around the table. It then pulled out a tablecloth to spread over the table and clapped its hands.

"Gen gengar——"

Mission accomplished.

Cynthia was full of helplessness.

"Our baby Gengar is a refined little boy; he wants everything to be done exquisitely."

Lucas walked to Gengar's side, reached out both hands, and pulled its cheeks hard to both sides.

Gengar stuck out its large red tongue and kept giggling foolishly.

A rhythmic tapping sound came from nearby. Darkrai turned to look and found Gothitelle holding a kitchen knife that had appeared from nowhere, processing the ingredients placed before it.

The knife seemed to dance in its hands, and all the ingredients were instantly cleaned and prepped. Then it snapped its fingers at Gengar, and Gengar's Will-O-Wisp floated toward the firewood under the large grill, instantly igniting an eerie flame.

Gothitelle placed its hand on the handle of the large grills.

Heat the grill, add the oil.

Darkrai looked at the Garchomp beside it. "Is this really right?"

Garchomp glanced at it and curled its lip. "kao!"

What's not right? Just wait to eat.

"Exactly, why do you care so much? You just need to know there will be good food soon, and that's enough."

Latias's voice echoed in its heart, and Darkrai's deep blue eyes blinked.

Thinking about it that way, it seemed right.

Wait, why does it feel like something was forgotten?

Darkrai looked around and found the Decidueye fast asleep not far away.

Darkrai: ∑(∀°)

Forgot about you!

Darkrai went to Lucas's side and interrupted his chat with Cynthia. When Lucas focused on it, it pointed to the Decidueye in the distance.

Lucas looked in the direction it was pointing.

(*°□°)!!

How did I forget about it?

Lucas looked at Cynthia and found that she had already raised her camera, clicking the shutter repeatedly.

Lucas: (.0)

Cynthia put away her camera with satisfaction, glanced at Lucas's expression, tilted her beautiful face up, and walked onto the blanket with Garchomp, sitting cross-legged on a cushion.

"I'm looking forward to it, Gothitelle."

"Gothitelle."

Very soon.
