Fu Shan's masculine heat sprayed freely against Xu Yifei's ear, face, and neck, causing her to tremble uncontrollably.
After hearing Fu Shan's words, her pretty face flushed even deeper.
Shamefaced, she buried her head in his chest like an ostrich, hiding and unwilling to show her face.
Seeing Xu Yifei's shyness, Fu Shan's lips curled into a smile. He leaned closer to her ear again:
"Yifei, do you... like me? Hmm?"
At this, Xu Yifei buried her head even deeper.
Her already crimson neck and earlobes, however, inadvertently betrayed the truth.
Fu Shan chuckled softly at the sight, but this time, he didn't intend to tease her further.
After all, pushing this little woman, who was as timid as a rabbit, too far might make her snap.
Though, this bashful Yifei was undeniably adorable,
making him want to tease her.
But...
*Ahem, better not.*
Fu Shan knew the importance of knowing when to stop and not overdo it.
If he truly angered Xu Yifei, he'd be in for a world of trouble!
So, Fu Shan proactively "called a truce," gently stroking her hair with a tender smile. "Alright, Yifei, I won't tease you anymore."
Seeing Xu Yifei squirm slightly but keep her head buried in his chest, refusing to look up, Fu Shan smiled again. "Yifei, look at me. I need to talk to you."
After a pause, he added, "It's important!"
Sure enough, Xu Yifei, who had been ignoring him, suddenly lifted her head, her eyes meeting his. "Important? What is it?"
Fu Shan raised an eyebrow. "About the overseas broadcast of *Princess Huanzhu*. Would you consider that important?"
Xu Yifei: "..."
"Of course it's important. But how does this concern me?" she asked, her brow furrowing in confusion. "I'm the lead actress in *Princess Huanzhu*, but the specifics of its overseas broadcast aren't really my concern, are they?"
*Isn't this something Fu Shan, Uncle Jiang, Zhou Qin, and the other executives at Lovefei Entertainment should be handling?*
Meeting Xu Yifei's puzzled gaze, Fu Shan gave a slight smile and said plainly:
"It's like this. Zhou Qin mentioned that KL Television Station in R Country has acquired the broadcast rights for *Princess Huanzhu* in their country. They'd like you, as the lead actress, to come over and make promotional appearances. Yifei, would you like to go? If you're not willing, I'll decline..."
Fu Shan had intended to say that if Xu Yifei wasn't interested, he would refuse the offer.
But before he could finish, Xu Yifei cut in:
"Sure. I can do the promotional appearances. Fu Shan, have Zhou Qin arrange the specific dates with them. I'll be there on time."
As usual, before a series airs on any platform, the lead actors are obligated to attend promotional events to build buzz and hype for the upcoming broadcast.
Xu Yifei didn't think there was anything wrong with it.
The request wasn't unreasonable.
As a professional actress, Xu Yifei felt she had an obligation to accept it. She didn't want to rely on her relationship with Fu Shan to get special treatment.
Xu Yifei always approached her work with seriousness and dedication, never slacking off.
Fu Shan naturally knew Xu Yifei's personality and her commitment to her work. Hearing her response, he simply nodded:
"Alright! I'll have Zhou Qin make the arrangements!"
With Fu Shan's approval, Zhou Qin quickly finalized the specific visit and promotional schedule with KL Television Station in R Country for the main creative team of *Princess Huanzhu*.
The next day, Fu Shan, Xu Yifei, and the rest of the main creative team flew to R Country.
R Country International Airport
The moment Fu Shan and Xu Yifei exited the airport terminal, they were met with a fervent welcome from R Country fans and drama enthusiasts. The crowd included men and women of all ages.
Some fans, speaking in halting, clearly newly learned Chinese, excitedly waved at Fu Shan and Xu Yifei:
"Fu-chan! Yifei-chan! Welcome to R Country!"
"Ahhh! Fu Shan! Xu Yifei! We're your fans!"
"Fu Shan! Xu Yifei! We're huge fans of your drama. I watched *Princess Huanzhu* online, and it was amazing! We can't wait for it to air on KL Television Station! We support you!"
***
Seeing the overwhelmingly enthusiastic atmosphere, Xu Yifei couldn't help but be taken aback.
"Fu Shan, I had no idea we were this popular in R Country."
She knew *Princess Huanzhu* was a hit, but she never imagined it would be this popular!
To have so many fans and drama enthusiasts in R Country was beyond her wildest expectations.
"Yeah, it seems we're quite popular. Yifei, you have so many fans and drama lovers. Haha."
Fu Shan nodded and smiled.
In truth, he hadn't anticipated such a massive following in R Country either.
*Ahem*, Fu Shan was genuinely surprised by this.
As they exchanged a knowing smile, Xu Yifei and Fu Shan were about to interact with the fans and drama lovers who had come to welcome them when a gruff, aggressive male voice suddenly cut through the air:
"#¥%&..."
A short, middle-aged man pushed through the crowd and rushed to the front, launching into a rapid-fire tirade in Japanese.
"What is he saying?"
Fu Shan frowned and turned to the accompanying translator.
The translator's face flickered with embarrassment and complexity before he hesitantly began to explain:
"What are you still standing around here for? Hurry up and follow me! Can you afford to delay our station's subsequent promotional activities? This is ridiculous!"
At this point, the accompanying translator cleared his throat:
"Ahem, Mr. Fu, that's roughly what he's saying."
In truth, the original words were even more impolite than the translator had conveyed. The man's tone was utterly overbearing, arrogant, and imperious. The translator felt he had already done his best to soften the language and save face.
He buried his face in his hands.
Even so, Fu Shan's brow furrowed at the words.
"Oh? You mean... the KL Television Station sent you to pick us up?" Fu Shan raised an eyebrow at the short, middle-aged man.
He then gave the translator a meaningful glance, signaling him to translate his words for the man.
The translator immediately understood and relayed Fu Shan's question accurately to the man.
The man nodded and chattered away to the translator.
"Mr. Fu, he says his name is Hirakawa Ichiro, Assistant Manager of the KL Television Station's Public Relations Department. Their manager, Mr. Yoshihara, sent him to pick up the main creative team of the *Princess Huanzhu* cast and crew."
Here, the translator paused, glancing at Fu Shan, and tentatively asked:
"Mr. Fu, what do you think...?"
