Chapter 108 - Chapter 108 -- Heading to the Divine Territory

The changes within Bai Yue's Original Universe continued for a long time.

He did not interfere.

Instead, his consciousness merged fully into it, calmly observing and experiencing the transformation from within. During that process, the very concept of Time seemed to lose all meaning. It felt as though countless years flowed past—yet in the next instant, it was as brief as a single breath.

When the transformation finally ended, Bai Yue's consciousness naturally withdrew.

Clarity returned.

As he sensed the completed changes, a profound sense of comfort welled up within him. Everything felt right. The sky seemed clearer, the air purer. The operation of all things within the Universe felt smooth, orderly, and harmonious, as though every law and movement existed effortlessly within his grasp.

It reminded him of a perfected system.

Matter and energy were the hardware of the Universe. The origin laws were the operating system beneath it all.

His Original Universe lacked neither matter nor energy. Now, with the foundational universe origin laws gradually perfected, the future path was clear—continuous iteration, refinement, and elevation, until one day he would fully master the Chaos Laws themselves.

That was the long-term direction of his Original Universe: a steady march toward completeness and perfection.

Yet that was not all.

When Bai Yue extended his perception outward from his Original Universe, it was as if he were standing within a higher-dimensional vantage point. His field of view rose endlessly—encompassing the Human Territory, the Primordial Universe, the vast Universe Sea…

Until, at last, he gazed upon the endless void.

Within that boundless darkness, he perceived the full outline of the Devouring Starry Sky—this Hunyuan Universe—vast beyond comprehension.

For now, he dared only observe through the Dao Fruit's elevated perspective. Even with his current strength, probing deeper details with direct consciousness was far too dangerous.

What surprised him was that beyond the familiar aura of the Devouring Starry Sky Universe, he sensed another world.

Over the years, Bai Yue had occasionally projected a thread of consciousness through the Dao Fruit, attempting to travel to other worlds and experience different cultivation civilizations. Each attempt had vanished like a stone sinking into the sea.

In the endless void, without coordinates, such travel was nearly impossible.

Without becoming a transcendent existence capable of self-sustenance, even the strongest being would wither away if lost in that void.

But now—after gathering multiple universe origin laws—his perception had undergone a qualitative leap.

He had sensed a connection.

Faint, distant, but real.

Bai Yue already had his suspicions.

That other world… was likely the one from his previous life.

After all, only a place where he had lived for more than twenty years could leave such a deep imprint upon his soul. Even after more than a century in the Devouring Starry Sky Universe, those short decades remained the most deeply etched memories he possessed.

Following that connection in the darkness, Bai Yue projected a thin strand of mental consciousness outward—toward his long-lost homeland.

When that sliver vanished, he calmly withdrew his gaze.

He did not know how long it would take for it to arrive, nor was he inclined to wait idly. There were still many things he needed to do.

At the bottom of the Fire Spirit Abyss, within the ancient Castle, Bai Yue opened his eyes.

He reverted to his Ape-man Race form, stored the Lian Xing Clan clone back into his Original Universe, and walked out of the Castle without hesitation.

The moment he stepped beyond its threshold, his body dissolved into a stream of magma, merging seamlessly with the molten sea below. He flowed away silently, vanishing into unexplored depths.

A year later.

Above the Storm Sea, Bai Yue hovered in midair, gazing into the mist-shrouded waters ahead.

He had already scoured the Fire Spirit Abyss with his Domain, yet found nothing more of value. Now, after ascending through the nine layers of flame and crossing the Storm Sea's depths, he finally stood at the edge of the Ninth Battlefield's most mysterious region.

The Divine Territory.

As he advanced, the mist thickened, and the suppression on his Domain grew heavier with every step.

Then—his eyes narrowed.

With a single step forward, the Storm Sea behind him vanished entirely from his perception. It was as though space-time itself had been forcibly rewritten.

He stepped back.

Nothing changed.

His Domain was compressed brutally, reduced to barely ten thousand kilometers, its expansion sluggish and resistant—as if mired in quicksand.

"The space-time here is in constant flux," Bai Yue muttered. "No wonder those who enter can't leave on their own."

He also sensed a powerful hallucinatory influence woven into the mist, subtly distorting judgment and direction.

Rather than wander blindly, Bai Yue focused his consciousness on the treasure bead that recorded the route to the Inheritance Land. Guided by its internal path, he advanced steadily toward the Divine Territory's core.

During this journey, he casually collected several heavy treasures revealed within his Domain's range. Compared to other powerhouses—Champions or even Universe Exalts—whose perception here was severely limited, his advantages were overwhelming.

After four days of winding travel, the mist abruptly parted.

Before him stretched a boundless black curtain, within which floated countless multicolored bubbles. Beyond them, a purple palace shimmered faintly.

An immense consciousness enveloped the entire region.

Just sensing it made Bai Yue's heart tremble.

"This is the manifestation of the Primordial Universe's source will…"

In the Universe Sea, it was an invincible existence—yet bound by supreme rules, incapable of acting freely.

Suppressing his unease, Bai Yue flew forward.

Soon, he arrived before the palace.

"Mysterious God Temple."

The meaning of the words on the plaque surfaced naturally in his mind.

As expected.

Following the mapped route, Bai Yue entered the palace, moving with extreme caution. Space shifted with every step—corridors became grasslands, halls unfolded into vast inner worlds.

Then, suddenly, he stopped.

Why follow the map?

He knew the story. He knew where the greatest opportunity lay.

Only by controlling the entire Mysterious God Temple could he uncover why it appeared in this Universe at all.

Acting decisively, Bai Yue summoned his Lian Xing Clan clone and activated his Domain at full strength. Guided by memory and law perception, he began searching.

Soon, he stood before a carved corridor wall.

Subtle spatial folding rippled across its surface.

He raised the Hun Yuan Staff and touched it lightly.

Creaaak—

A hidden wall lifted, revealing a glowing doorway.

Bai Yue stepped through.

The world changed instantly.

A towering waterfall thundered down before him, mist sparkling like scattered stars. This was the hidden valley left behind by Che Houyuan.

Ignoring the scenery, Bai Yue headed straight for the cave concealed behind the falls.

The moment he entered—

He froze.

The interior was nothing like what he remembered.

Then, a familiar voice echoed calmly.

"Human Battle King… you are finally here."
