In the blink of an eye, one month had passed since Demon King Piccolo was slain.
Early morning on Mount Paozu, the dense fog gradually dispersed as sunlight once again bathed the land.
Beneath the dappled shadows of the trees, Goku sat cross-legged, training quietly.
His eyes were closed, his expression calm—
yet within his body, his Ki flowed ceaselessly.
Inside his consciousness, he was repeatedly simulating battles against imagined enemies.
What if the enemy were faster…
What if their strength were even greater…
His muscles had grown more solid. His hairstyle hadn't changed at all—still wild and unruly—but compared to before, his aura carried a newfound steadiness.
"Goku, breakfast is ready! Come eat!"
Launch's clear, gentle voice echoed through the mountains.
Goku opened his eyes.
"Coming!"
With a few swift movements and light leaps, he crossed the mountainside and arrived at the house.
On the table in the living room sat a massive spread of steaming buns, fragrant and piping hot.
Goku's appetite instantly surged.
Without another word, he grabbed a bun and stuffed it straight into his mouth.
Violet quickly smacked the back of his hand.
"Hey! How many times have we told you—
you have to wash your hands after training before eating! Why are you always in such a rush?"
The scalding bun made Goku puff out hot air, but he still chewed happily, his face full of bliss.
"Mmm… these meat buns are so good…"
Violet pushed him toward the wash area.
"You eat like you're fighting a battle. Go wash your hands already."
Goku scratched his head and laughed.
"It's because the buns you make are just too delicious. I couldn't help tasting one first!"
Just then, the blue-haired Launch came out from the kitchen carrying another bamboo steamer.
"Goku, we've been busy all morning making these," she said gently.
"You have to finish them all—no wasting food!"
Goku nodded seriously.
"Don't worry! There's no way I'll leave even one behind!"
At that moment, a sudden noise came from outside the window, as if someone had arrived.
Launch looked over curiously.
"Did a guest come by?"
Violet glanced toward the doorbell and frowned.
"Visiting during mealtime—what bad timing.
Goku, go wash your hands first. I'll go check."
Goku immediately said, "There aren't many people who even know where we live.
If someone came, it's probably looking for me. I'll go take a look!"
With that, he stepped outside.
Launch and Violet exchanged glances and followed him out.
The moment Goku exited the house, a familiar figure came into view.
It was none other than his grandfather—Son Gohan.
Only now, a golden halo hovered above his head.
His expression was filled with curiosity as he looked up and down at Goku's home.
The instant Goku saw him, his face lit up with excitement.
"Grandpa! You're back?!"
Gohan froze for a moment—then broke into a warm smile.
"Goku… it's been years. You've really grown up."
After so long apart, both of them deeply missed each other.
Grandfather and grandson embraced tightly.
As Gohan was marveling at how tall and grown Goku had become, Violet and Launch stepped outside.
Hearing Goku call him "Grandpa," both women immediately straightened their posture respectfully.
Seeing two beautiful girls, Gohan was momentarily stunned.
"Goku… who are these two lovely young ladies?"
Goku quickly explained.
"Grandpa, this is Launch, and this is Violet. They're both—"
He paused for a moment, then spoke their future roles without hesitation.
"They're both my wives!"
The moment Goku introduced them like that, Launch and Violet immediately bowed together.
"Grandpa, nice to meet you!"
Gohan's entire body shook.
His eyes filled with deep satisfaction.
"Good! Good! Good!"
"I can't believe that after just a few years away, you've already married two wives!"
"Goku, you're incredible. Even Grandpa admires you!"
Just then, Launch suddenly sneezed.
Her hair instantly turned golden, and her temperament changed completely.
Gohan froze on the spot.
"Eh? Goku… why did she suddenly turn like that?"
Goku laughed.
"It's fine, Grandpa.
Launch is the most special girl in the world. She was born with two personalities—
one gentle and refined, the other fiery and bold."
"Whenever she sneezes, she switches. I'm already used to it. It doesn't affect our life at all."
Gohan nodded in realization.
"So there really are such wondrous girls in this world…
Goku, you're truly blessed. You must cherish them."
"I will, Grandpa!"
Launch immediately spoke up.
"Don't worry, Grandpa. Goku treats us very well."
"Oh, right—we made buns. Why don't you come inside and eat with us?"
Gohan shook his head and pointed at the golden halo above him.
"No need. Don't you see this?"
"I'm no longer part of the living world. I don't need to eat anymore…"
Goku was startled.
"Grandpa, didn't you go to tend the furnace? How did you die?"
Gohan chuckled calmly.
"It's nothing. It was my own choice."
"While alive, my stamina couldn't keep up—I couldn't finish the work."
"Only after dying could I gain permanence."
"Don't be sad for me. Life and death aren't much different to me now.
Look—I still have a physical body."
Goku nodded, understanding.
At that point, Son Gohan paused, then took out a small metal gourd from his robes.
"Goku… Grandpa originally wanted to earn some money and save it for your marriage."
"But the Supreme Elder's life isn't exactly wealthy either. Wages are always delayed."
"So when I said I wanted to visit my grandson and give him some money to marry a wife,
she gave me a bottle of Nine-Turn Golden Pills instead—said it counted as my wages."
As he spoke, Gohan placed the gourd into Goku's hands.
"But you really are capable," he continued with a laugh.
"Without relying on Grandpa at all, you already married two beautiful wives."
"Now I can finally rest easy."
Curious, Goku opened the small gourd.
Inside were many tiny golden pills.
"Grandpa, what do these Nine-Turn Golden Pills do?"
"Are they for me to eat?"
Gohan smiled.
"Of course they're for you."
Then he glanced at Launch and Violet.
"Since you already have wives, you should share them as well."
"Don't underestimate these pills. They're refined using water from the Fountain of Youth."
"Eating one can beautify the body, nourish vitality, and strengthen the essence."
"Each pill can extend one's lifespan by about thirty years."
"The Supreme Elder eats these like meals."
"She's tens of thousands of years old, yet still looks like a twenty-year-old girl!"
Both Violet and Launch gasped in shock.
"Stay young… and increase lifespan by thirty years?"
"That's incredible!"
Violet asked cautiously, "Grandpa, something that extends lifespan must be extremely precious, right?"
Gohan waved his hand dismissively.
"It's nothing special. Grandpa still has to help tend the furnace anyway—there will be more in the future."
"But you must never sell these. They're only for family use."
"Otherwise, it would disrupt the balance between the living world and the afterlife."
"And Grandpa would get into serious trouble."
Goku nodded solemnly.
"Don't worry, Grandpa. They're far too precious. I'd never sell them."
