Chapter 83 -  Suno Comes Knocking

Violet and Launch spoke together,

"Thank you, Grandpa!"

Son Gohan looked at Goku and the two girls with deep satisfaction.

"Goku, Grandpa used to worry that you'd never find a wife," he said with a smile.

"But now I see it clearly—you've grown far more sensible than when you were little. Grandpa is truly happy."

Goku scratched his head awkwardly and laughed.

"Grandpa… is that supposed to be a compliment? People grow up eventually, right?"

"Yes," Gohan said warmly. "In the blink of an eye, you've become mature."

He leaned closer and whispered into Goku's ear.

"Goku, from now on, you must live well together. Husband and wife shouldn't quarrel all the time."

"If I get more pills later, I'll bring you another gourd."

"Also—you should have children early. Only after you have kids can your life be considered complete."

Goku nodded seriously.

"I understand, Grandpa. Don't worry. I know how to cherish life."

"And you should also live well with the Supreme Elder!"

At those words, Son Gohan's face instantly turned red.

"Ahem… speaking of the Supreme Elder, I just remembered," he said hurriedly.

"There's a batch of pills to be refined tonight. I can't stay any longer."

"I have to prepare to go. You take care of yourself…"

Goku was startled.

"So soon? Grandpa, you just got here and you're already leaving?"

Gohan lowered his voice.

"I didn't take leave this time. I snuck out—I just wanted to see whether you were home."

"Last time I had a break, I came too, but you weren't here, so I went back."

"Now that you have a family, you're settled. When I get time in the future, I'll come visit again."

Goku suddenly understood.

"So that's how it was… I missed Grandpa last time. What a pity."

"Don't worry—I'll stay home more often. Grandpa, you have to come visit frequently!"

Gohan nodded.

"I know. Alright, go back inside. It's time for me to leave."

With that, he turned and hurried away.

Only then did Goku realize that Grandpa hadn't even entered the house before leaving again.

Goku, Launch, and Violet all waved goodbye.

Son Gohan's figure quickly faded from sight.

Launch tugged gently on Goku's arm.

"Goku, stop staring. Grandpa's already gone."

"Hurry and eat. The buns won't taste good once they get cold."

Goku nodded.

"Mm, got it!"

Just then, the sound of an aircraft approached from the sky.

Launch froze.

"What's going on today? We're just trying to eat—why are there so many visitors?"

Violet pulled out the binoculars she always carried and looked carefully.

"That looks like Bulma's aircraft…"

Launch relaxed immediately.

"Oh, it's Bulma. Then it's fine."

With outsiders, they still had to be reserved.

But Bulma was family—when she came, there was no need to hold back.

A moment later, Bulma stepped off the plane.

She wore a mysterious smile.

"Goku, guess what surprise I brought you!"

Goku wasn't interested in surprises at all.

"Bulma, why'd you come at this time?"

"Let's forget the surprise for now—come inside and eat buns with us. They're about to get cold."

Bulma frowned.

"How can it wait? It has to be urgent!"

Goku blinked.

"Uh… alright then. Show me the surprise."

Only then did Bulma turn back and shout,

"Come out!"

A red-haired girl stepped down from the aircraft.

Her hair was the color of burning twilight—soft, fluffy red strands falling to her shoulders and shimmering faintly under the sunlight.

She lowered her head shyly.

Her fair skin carried a healthy blush, like a ripe peach.

Her figure was well-proportioned—though not as bold as Launch's, she was graceful and cute.

Dressed in a light-colored dress, she looked delicate and charming.

Her hands clutched the hem of her skirt nervously, too shy to lift her head and look directly at Goku.

Goku stared at the red-haired girl, utterly confused.

He turned to Bulma.

"Bulma… who is she again?"

Hearing him ask her name, the red-haired girl suddenly raised her head.

Her eyes trembled as she spoke sadly.

"Goku… you don't remember me anymore? I'm Suno!"

"Suno?!"

Goku was shocked.

He gestured with his hand.

"That's impossible! Suno was just this tall—how could she be like this now?"

Bulma hurriedly said, "Goku, people grow up!"

"A little girl can't stay little forever!"

"When you met her back then, you were the same height as her. Look at you now—aren't you this tall already?"

Goku froze, then nodded.

"Oh… that's true. She even grew faster than Krillin."

Suno looked at him quietly.

"I recognized you the moment I saw you on television."

"But when you see me in person, you can't even recognize me…"

"That really hurts."

Goku scratched his head anxiously.

"Sorry, sorry, Suno. In my memory, you were just a little girl this big."

"I didn't expect you to grow so tall—or become so pretty. I really didn't react in time."

Hearing him call her pretty, Suno's expression softened slightly.

"It's been so many years since you left our village. Of course I grew up."

"And didn't you grow up too?"

"Back then, we were the same height. Now when I look at you… I have to raise my head."

She pursed her lips, studying him.

"I saw you on TV—fighting Demon King Piccolo."

"I spent a whole month searching for you."

"You're not even going to invite me inside?"

Goku's brain completely froze.

"Looking for me?"

"Why were you looking for me?"

Suno stared at him in disbelief.

"I came all this way to find you… and you ask me why?"

It felt like a knife stabbed her chest.

Her nose tingled, and her eyes instantly blurred.

Bulma realized at once that Goku had practically forgotten the girl entirely.

She hurried to comfort Suno.

"Don't cry, don't cry, Suno. Goku didn't mean it."

"He's just too obsessed with training—and he's emotionally dense."

"He can't understand girls' feelings at all. If someone likes him and doesn't say it directly, he might never realize it his entire life."

"So don't beat around the bush with him. Just tell him you like him—everything will become simple."

As she spoke, Bulma placed Suno's hand into Goku's.

"Goku, hurry and comfort her. She traveled all the way to West City just to find you."

"She spent an entire month on the road—enduring who knows how much hardship."

"Take her inside and talk properly!"

Holding Suno's soft hand, Goku was completely at a loss.

"She… likes me?"

Launch leaned close to his ear and whispered urgently,

"The girl fell for you long ago. Hurry and bring her inside!"

Goku couldn't believe it.

He had somehow even charmed a mountain village girl like Suno.

The sense of guilt was overwhelming.

Counting it out—aside from Bulma and the others, there was Chi-Chi…

and now Suno had appeared too.

And in the future, Android 18 was still his dream—he couldn't bear to give that up either.

Did a Saiyan's kidneys really equal ten Earthlings'?

What should he eat to start replenishing early?

Urgent. Online answers needed.

Seeing Goku spacing out completely, Bulma shoved him hard.

"Hurry up and bring Suno inside!"

"What are you just standing there for?"

"O–okay…"

Watching Goku lead Suno inside in a daze, Bulma muttered quietly,

"What a great girl I brought you back…

for anyone else, this would be a blessing."

"I thought this would make you happy…

but you're acting like an idiot—can't even say thank you…"
