Chapter 105 -  The Cosmic Era Begins — Train Harder

Kame House.

Tien, Chiaotzu, Yamcha, and Krillin had all been called over by Goku.

When they saw Goku standing beside Raditz, confusion filled their faces.

Krillin scratched his head. "Goku, why'd you call us all here? I've got several commercials to shoot today—I'm busy!"

Tien crossed his arms. "Yeah, Goku. It's been a while. What's so important that you gathered everyone?"

Master Roshi narrowed his eyes at Raditz, sensing the sinister aura around him. "Goku… who is this?"

Goku spoke calmly. "Let me introduce him. His name is Raditz. He's my long-lost older brother."

Everyone froze.

"Older brother?!"

Krillin stared at Goku in disbelief. "You've got a brother? You never mentioned him before!"

Goku pulled out a chair and sat down.

"It's a long story. But this isn't about family reunions. There are important things you need to know. It concerns my origins. I don't remember every detail clearly, so I'll let him explain."

He turned to Raditz, his voice firm.

"Raditz, tell them everything. And remember—these are my friends. If you harm even one of them, I won't forgive you."

The others exchanged glances. The tension between the two brothers was obvious.

Raditz began.

"Kakarot—whom you call Son Goku—and I are not Earthlings. We were born on Planet Vegeta. We are Saiyans—the strongest warrior race in the universe."

Shock rippled through the room.

"Saiyans?"

"Warrior race?"

Krillin frowned. "If Goku's an alien, why's he been on Earth since he was a kid?"

Raditz smirked slightly.

"Simple. Saiyan infants are evaluated at birth. Those with high combat potential are nurtured. Those with low potential are sent to distant planets to conquer them. Kakarot was classified as a low-class warrior. Our father sent him to this weak planet—Earth."

Yamcha nodded slowly. "So that's why Goku was so strong as a kid…"

Krillin blinked. "That explains why he was always different from us. But what do you mean by 'conquer'?"

Raditz glanced at him disdainfully.

"Conquer means slaughtering the planet's natives and selling the world. Kakarot was meant to wipe this place out. Instead, he became weak—befriending fragile Earthlings."

Krillin shot to his feet. "What did you say?!"

Goku pressed him back down, his gaze icy.

"Raditz. State facts. If you insult them again, I'll break more bones."

Raditz stiffened. Prideful by nature, he swallowed his words.

Master Roshi looked at Goku with concern. "Goku… you already knew?"

Goku nodded gently. "Master Roshi, no matter where I came from, I'm still the same Goku. That won't change."

Roshi exhaled in relief. He silently thanked Grandpa Gohan for raising the boy with kindness and discipline.

Krillin forced a grin. "Good thing Goku's nothing like you. He's not some planet-raiding bandit."

Raditz's voice turned cold. "You're wrong. Saiyans can complete their missions unconsciously."

"What does that mean?" Krillin asked.

Raditz sneered.

"When Saiyans see a full moon, we transform into Great Apes. Low-class warriors lose control and rampage. Our power increases tenfold. That's when we do our work. You Earthlings wouldn't understand."

The room went silent.

Krillin, Yamcha, and Roshi all remembered the night Goku had transformed. They'd seen it firsthand.

Roshi wiped his brow.

"Ten times stronger… Good thing I destroyed the moon back then…"

Raditz continued flatly.

"This planet has a moon. Even if full moons are rare, it would've been enough. As a child, Kakarot would've destroyed this world within a few years."

The truth was chilling.

"So that's what the Great Ape form was for…" Yamcha muttered.

Krillin swallowed hard. "So he was sent here to eliminate us from the start…"

Then he looked at Goku firmly. "But Goku saved Earth. He's not like that."

The others nodded in agreement.

Raditz hid his scorn.

Then he suddenly said, "There's something you don't know, Kakarot."

"What?"

"Shortly after you were sent away, Frieza recalled all Saiyans to Planet Vegeta. A meteor struck soon after. The planet exploded. Nearly every Saiyan was wiped out—including our parents. Vegeta and I were off-world on a mission. That's why we survived. Only a handful of Saiyans remain."

The others gasped.

"An entire planet destroyed?"

"That's horrifying…"

Goku remained calm.

"Though I'm Saiyan by blood, I won't defend that race blindly. They lived by plunder. Their destruction was inevitable."

Krillin looked at him carefully. "Even your parents… don't you feel sad?"

Goku nodded quietly.

"Of course I do. Not all Saiyans were cruel. My mother was kind. She often urged my father to avoid needless killing. But in our world, power dictates truth. Even those who disliked conquest couldn't refuse orders."

He placed a hand on Krillin's shoulder.

"But this wasn't a natural disaster. It was no meteor. Frieza orchestrated it."

Raditz's eyes widened.

"What are you talking about? Frieza wouldn't destroy us—we worked for him!"

Goku's gaze sharpened.

"Have you never questioned the timing? The recall and the 'meteor' on the same day? Frieza feared the legend of the Super Saiyan. To eliminate the threat, he gathered every Saiyan in one place and annihilated Planet Vegeta himself."

Raditz faltered.

"That… that can't be…"

"You survived not by luck," Goku continued. "But because he valued Vegeta's talent and spared your squad."

Raditz clenched his fists. Doubt crept in.

The others were equally stunned.

"Someone strong enough to destroy a planet…" Yamcha whispered.

Krillin swallowed. "Goku… who is this Frieza?"

Goku glanced at Raditz.

Raditz answered slowly.

"Frieza is the Emperor of the Universe. His strength is beyond comprehension. He commands countless soldiers, conquers worlds, sells them. He rules most of the cosmos. Vegeta, Nappa, and I were part of his elite squad."

Krillin's expression darkened. "So you came here to recruit Goku?"

Raditz nodded. "That was my intention. I thought even if he was weak, his Great Ape form would be useful. I didn't expect him to surpass me."

Goku raised a hand reassuringly.

"Don't worry. I'm still me. Blood doesn't dictate who I am. If Raditz causes trouble here, I'll stop him."

Krillin looked at Goku intently. "Then why tell us all this now? What do you need from us?"

Everyone leaned forward.

Goku nodded.

"Yes. But it's not about helping me. What we're about to face concerns Earth's future."

"Earth's future?" Krillin echoed.

Goku took a breath.

"Technology has advanced. Alien ships travel at terrifying speeds. Earth will no longer remain isolated. Stronger enemies will come. We can't afford to be unprepared."

Krillin frowned. "But we're already training."

"We are," Goku agreed. "But future enemies will dwarf anything we've faced. We must push ourselves further. I refuse to stand powerless when the next threat arrives."

His eyes burned with resolve.

"Instead of reacting to disaster, let's grow stronger now—strong enough to meet whatever challenges come."

The cosmic era had begun.

And from this day forward—

Training would no longer be optional.
