[3rd POV]
The day after had seen similar exploration from Billie and Haley. With the two of them exploring some of the local parks in earnest, finding that the places were pretty beautiful, and large too. They were definitely nicer than most of the local parks back in California, where it was scorching hot half the time, and was rarely taken care of very well.
The parks had also been a pretty good lunch spot, where they had a rather nice picnic set up. Which is where they were at the moment.
"You know, I'm surprised we were even able to do this" Haley commented, as she bit into the sandwich that she and Billie had made up together. It was more of a sub, so it was big enough to split in half for the two of them.
And it was damn good. Made with ham, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, green peppers (on Billie's side) and olives (on Haley's side). Olives were gross in Billie's opinion.
It was a simple sandwich but a good one.
"Why do you say that?" Billie asked, looking over at her girlfriend.
"The weather. It's actually...nice for once. Which is surprising, because I know that Washington tends to be rainy and cold. And since it's winter I was half expecting it to be snowy outside. But nope, it's a bit chilly, but nice enough for this. Which is...better than I was hoping for" Haley responded, a small smile on her face as she gazed off into the distance.
"Ah, yeah. Washington weather seems to be pretty random and all over the place. Looks like we just got lucky today" Billie replied with a chuckle, not surprised all that much.
"Looks like it" Haley said, as she leaned closer to Billie while relaxing in the rare burst of warm sun in the usually bad weather of Washington State.
The two sat in silent comfort with one another, just eating and enjoying their surroundings, before Billie began.
"So, do you have any plans for doing your own tour or concerts anytime soon?" Billie asked. Haley blinked at the question in surprise before looking over to her girlfriend, having not expected that question.
"Not really to be honest. I kinda wanna worry about getting my album out first before thinking about something like that. But...eventually I do want to do something like that. But probably not for a few months, once the album is out long enough to get love or hate" Haley replied after a few moments of thought.
She had thought about it quite a lot, especially once Billie had brought up her own album and the idea of going on a tour. A tour that was definitely happening now, and a tour that Haley would be joining her for.
She wanted to travel around the country, and this would be the best way to go about it. She would still need to get the permission of her mother, but at that point she would be eighteen, so it would basically just be a kindness towards her more than anything.
"Hmm, and where do you want to start it?" Billie asked, curious to hear the answer.
"I don't know to be honest. Cause doing what you're doing sounds kind of appealing, but at the same time, the idea of starting back in LA sounds appealing too" Haley responded, with Billie nodding along in understanding.
"It's your decision in the end, babe. But personally I'd suggest you end in LA, because then you won't need to take a flight back home or anything. Or better yet, you could do two different concerts in California. The state is huge, so maybe you could do one down in San Francisco as the first concert, and then have the last in LA?" Billie suggested.
Her girlfriend blinked at the suggestion, it was a good one in her mind. She had been to San Francisco like once, and San Diego twice. So this would give her a day to spend in a city she had never been to, without having to fly around in the beginning.
And then it would end in LA so that she wouldn't have to fly back home or anything. Haley had never been on tour, neither had Billie. So neither were truly understanding of just how draining this might end up being.
Which is why they should minimize the amount of flights as much as possible, while still providing enough concerts for most people to see them. With California being the most populated state by a long shot, this would be the best route.
The best route to make it enjoyable for themselves and for their fans.
"That...is a really good idea" Haley said after thinking for a few moments, realizing that this would be a much better idea than the ones she had originally.
"Glad you think so. If you do decide to go down that route, you'll now just need to figure out where you want to go and in which order" Billie replied, biting into her sandwich again as she listened to her girlfriend continue.
"Well, I was thinking of starting in New York, you know, the other side of the country. That way I slowly make my way back over towards LA, and maybe even do a concert or two in Canada if I can manage it" Haley said.
"Hmm, we might need to do some research on that last idea, cause I know for a fact that setting up concerts in other countries can be rather difficult and not very easy. The laws regarding it can be a pain in the ass. And the things you have to do in order to get permission is not fun, and can cost a ton" Billie warned, as she had started doing research into it recently.
She wanted to eventually do a tour in Europe, as she knew she had a giant audience over there. Since she had started to recently release her first album in other languages. So far she had released it in German, French, Russian, Italian, Portuguese, Swedish, and a few others.
It was making her quite a lot of money, and wasn't difficult. As thanks to the way her mind worked, learning new languages was very easy. And abusing this she was able to learn over a dozen languages over a few months.
She was a genius in everything related to talking and singing.
"Really? I didn't think the laws were that serious..." Haley muttered, beginning to rethink her idea.
"Yeah they are pretty annoying. But, I have mostly researched Europe, so it might be easier in Canada since they're our neighbors. They also have a lot of laws that are similar or the exact same as ours, so I imagine it'll be far easier to do one there. Especially if you do one in like Toronto or something" Billie responded with a nod.
She didn't blame Haley for underestimating it, as it didn't sound that hard from an outside perspective, until you actually start to look into the laws regarding it.
Thankfully, Billie had a lot of lawyers on her payroll that could help with that sort of thing, and a whole lot of money that she could use to actually do the concerts.
"You want to do one in Europe?"
"Eventually, yeah. I was planning on starting out in the UK, then Germany, Italy, France, and all sorts of other European countries. And eventually I even want to do one down in Asia, once I start to translate my music to some of the languages down there at least" Billie replied with another nod.
"Huh...neat" Haley muttered, as she turned to look off into the distance once again.
All the while, Billie watched her with a small smile on her face. As she realized something, and that was...
She couldn't wait to get back, and for Haley to move in with her.
She just hoped Claire would accept.
But...that was a conversation future Billie would need to worry about.
As for now, she just wanted to enjoy her picnic with her girlfriend.
And hopefully enjoy the rest of her day...
