[3rd POV]
It was the day after the visit to the Make a Wish foundation, and Billie and Haley were already out and about in Seattle. Both of them were walking around the city, masks on, hats on, and glasses on. Everything that was needed in order stay out of the notice of others.
They were forced to do this in order to not get noticed. Should they get noticed, their time in Seattle would be drastically less enjoyable than they had initially been hoping. Billie had made sure that they were sufficiently covered up, and thankfully, it was winter time, so they had a reason to have beanies on. As it was genuinely freezing out.
This also had the nice side effect of making the streets much less crowded than they usually would be during the warmer time of the year. This way they could get around a bit easier.
They had already started to walk through the city, and had been to a local coffee shop before beginning their little tour.
At the moment they were walking towards where the Pike Place Market was. They had actually seen the rather famous "Fremont Troll" that had been built underneath a bridge in Seattle back in the 90's by local artists. It was a bit of a tourist attraction at this point, and was basically just a big statue.
But it was a neat statue that Haley wanted to see at least once. Mostly to quell her curiosity in the art.
There was a local art museum that she also wanted to visit, which was partially because Haley thought that they could take some pictures of the local art for Manny who was huge into art, especially after he found out about the museum that Billie had told him about.
He was even talking to his mom about submitting some of his art for it...which was definitely an interesting thing to see. He wanted his art to be put into a museum specifically made for terrible art.
At least he was self aware, Billie had decided.
Walking next to her girlfriend, sipping on her macchiato, Billie glanced over at her as Haley began to speak.
"So...I was wondering about something" Haley began.
Billie raised an eyebrow at her words, and stared as her girlfriend took that as a go ahead to continue speaking.
"Since I am graduating in several months, I was wondering if maybe...Well...I'm not sure how to really ask this" Haley stumbled with her words, not sure how to ask what she wanted to. Billie looked at her in surprise, wondering what it could be.
"I can't tell If I should be worried about the way you're acting, or excited" Billie said with a raised eyebrow, as her girlfriend turned to her before biting her lip.
"I was going to ask since we've been together for a while now - since we've been together for almost a year now - if maybe...I could move in with you once I graduate? I know it's a lot to ask! And I know it might be rushing, but I have been thinking about it for a while now. And since I've got money, and I know how to take care of myself thanks to you, I was planning on moving out either way. But I figured that I might as well ask if I could move in with you, since I stay over so much anyways. It's okay if it's a no, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask" Haley rambled, as Billie looked surprised at the ask before a small smile formed on her face.
Her smile widened with every moment, the longer the girl rambled and talked. It was adorable how the girl would sometimes ramble and go off onto a tangent. But this was a rather important ramble, and she let her do her thing.
After the girl finished with an embarrassed flush on her face (even if it was not easy to see thanks to the mask), Billie hummed.
"Sure"
Haley blinked at the word, looking at her girlfriend with a confused stare.
"...Really? That easy? You aren't going to ask more questions or anything? You aren't going to ask if I have any other reason or anything?" Haley asked, thoroughly confused why her girlfriend was so willing to let her stay with her.
"Yep, it's that easy. And no, why would I? You're my girlfriend Haley, and I trust you. Plus we both know that you just want to stay because you enjoy my cuddling. That and because it'd mean we have a bit more...freedom at home" Billie responded with a small smirk that widened when she saw the brightening blush on her girlfriends cheeks.
Yeah, she wasn't dumb. She knew that a part of Haley's reason was because well...they were girlfriends. And coming in the next two weeks, she'd be an adult. Meaning...well, they could have some...fun.
Billie was honestly impressed the girl hadn't jumped her yet.
"P-Perv"
"Hey, you're the one that wants to move in with me" Billie replied with an amused expression on her face, while raising her hands in surrender.
Haley just grumbled in response, but she was evidently happy, truly happy. The way she was fighting off the urge to smile, and was inwardly cheering at the fact that Billie had accepted.
Now she'd just have to get her mom to accept.
Haley couldn't help but sweat drop as she realized that they might be a lot harder than she thought. She had initially been expecting Billie to be a bit harder to ask, but nope, it was once again going to be her mom.
She should have known.
"Oh, and while I am more than happy to let you move in, you're not going to be getting help with trying to persuade your mother. Cause as much as I love you babe, I am not getting within ten feet of that bomb" Billie said, as Haley looked at her like she had just been betrayed.
"Hey, don't look at me like that. We both know your mom will try to rip my hair out if I am there when you ask" Billie said, raising a hand in surrender once again. Her girlfriend stared before sighing.
"I know. But it's gonna be a pain in the ass to persuade her" Haley responded with a sigh showing just how much she was dreading that particular conversation.
"Well you'll just have to find a way. Because as interesting as it might be to try to help, it wouldn't go well. And it has to be you to ask that question" Billie replied.
Haley nodded, knowing her girlfriend was not wrong. Claire would probably want to hurt Billie if she was there when they asked. But if Haley was alone...it'd probably go much better...well, probably.
"...Yeah I figured that" Haley sighed, as they continued to make their way towards Pike Place Market.

Pike Place Market proved to be a rather interesting place. It had been pretty packed all things considered, but it was also large, and there were tons of things to do there. There were all sorts of neat restaurants to try. They had had some sorbet at a nearby shop, had bought comics for Luke, and had gone to the fish market.
It was fun, very fun. They even had the rather famous Mac n cheese from the Pike Place Market store known as Beechers.
It was genuinely some of the best Mac n cheese either of them had ever had. And to Haley, it was the best.
But by the time they were done at the Pike Place Market, and had gone out to have dinner at a local place, it was late at night, and the two were back in their hotel bedroom, cuddled up in bed.
While Billie gazed at the ceiling, Haley snuggled up against her chest. Billie had been contemplating what she wanted to do for the next day, and decided it would be the Space Needle that day.
Soon, Billie began to fall asleep with Haley snuggled against her.
The day had been good.
