[3rd POV]
"You're going to Paris!?" Alex yelled, wide eyed as she looked between the two of them. Of all things she was expecting to hear, that was certainly not it. That was like...not even on her list because of how unexpected it truly was.
"What!? You're going to Paris? Of all people, you!" Manny asked with his jaw dropped to the floor, his eyes wide as he looked between them.
"Why can't it be me? I love fashion, and Paris is like the fashion capital of the world, or one of them at least. And I've always wanted to go, I swear I've said that before too" Haley responded, tilting her head, kind of confused on why they seemed to be mad about that.
"Bu-But you're going to Europe, before me! You get to see all of the museums, the history, and all of the culture you wouldn't even understand!" Alex said, almost sounding like she was whining.
"Well we can-" "Absolutely not" Claire and Jay cut off Gloria who was about to bring up an awful idea that would ruin this for Haley and Billie.
"But-" "No, Gloria. This is their vacation out, and a gift for Haley. We are not going to Paris with them. I'm not about to ruin my granddaughter's birthday gift from her girlfriend, just because these two don't Ike that she is going before them" Jay said, giving her a serious look.
He didn't want this to swell into something more annoying to deal with. If he allowed them to continue their ideas, then he knew for a fact that Alex and Manny would not stop complaining until Billie and Haley left. And that was just not something he wanted to hear, nor was it something he wanted the two to deal with.
This was about Haley and her birthday, not Alex and Manny.
"Hmm, how about this. Sometime this summer, when we all have free time, I'll fund a trip to Europe for all of us. And yes, that includes you two" Billie offered, looking at Mitchell and Cam too.
"You'd really do that?" Alex asked, wide eyed once more.
"Mmhmm, I don't see why not. I've got the money Alex, hel-heck, I've got more money than I can even spend at this point. So getting a private jet to take us to Europe isn't much of a problem for me. And I am not opposed to spending a week in Europe with all of you" Billie replied once again, a smile on her face.
She really didn't have any issue with it. If anything she liked the idea. She thought that it could be fun to go to Europe with the whole family. Personally, she would like to go to Germany and maybe the UK along with them.
She also wanted to visit other European countries, like Switzerland, Norway, and a few others. But those were the big ones (mostly because they were the "starter" ones).
"...That'd be incredible. When do you think we could go?" Alex asked, deciding to stop her complaints and whining, and instead asked what she deemed as a far more important question in her mind.
"That'll be up to your parents, Alex. But I assume it'd be somewhere in August or July, before the School year starts back up" Billie replied, a small smile on her face as she noticed the excitement that was in Alex's tone.
"We've got nothing going on in August" Cam added, barely hiding his own excitement at the prospect. He had never been to Europe before, and thought it would be a very fun thing to do.
"Neither do we, from what I know" Claire added, agreeing that it would be a great idea. It'd be nice to get out of the country for the first time, and she was sure that it would be fun. Not only that, but it would lead to a lot of family bonding, and would show them a bit more of the world.
"We're free" Jay finished, also nodding with the idea, agreeing. His business didn't truly need his oversight 24/7, it hadn't in a long time. He just did it to ensure that it ran smoothly and safely without problems propping up everywhere.
"Great, we'll have to schedule it then. But for now, I think Haley has some cake to eat, and then some preparation to do. Afterall, we're leaving tomorrow" Billie replied, giving her girlfriend a warm smile as Haley seemed to almost hold back the urge to cry in happiness.
"Wait you're leaving tomorrow? Why so quickly?" Alex asked, tilting her head.
"Because Christmas is not that far away, and we want to be back by the time it comes around. And I am hosting it this year, so I'll need to be home for it to make sure everything is prepared and ready" Billie replied. Alex hummed at the explanation, finding that it made a lot of sense.
"Can you get some souvenirs from Paris? Maybe some pictures?" Manny asked hopefully, hoping to at least see some pictures from the legendary architecture and a few of the museums there, some of them hosting paintings and other art that he had dreamed of seeing in the future.
"Sure. I imagine that we'll go to a few museums when we're there, so I'm sure we can get some pictures and a few souvenirs" Billie replied, as Manny cheered in response, excited to hear that he could get some cool souvenirs from one of the greatest countries in the world when it came to the fine arts.
With her response to Manny done with, it was time to eat some cake, and then after that, it would be time to go home, and then the next day would be the beginning of their time in Paris.

The rest of the birthday had gone well, with Haley barely holding back her excitement at the fact that they'd be going to Paris the next day. The cake that they had gotten was pretty good, and had been picked up by Gloria herself.
Gloria had gotten it from some fancy bakery, one that Billie had promptly gotten the name of, as she would definitely need that in the future. For other parties and stuff like that.
Although she had cringed when she found out how expensive their cakes were. Being worth way more than she had been expecting.
Either way, it was now the next day. She had already gotten all of her clothes put away, and was prepared for everything. Having her passport in her wallet, and the tickets needed to get onto their flight was with her as well.
All she needed to do now was to go and pick up Haley, and then make their way to the airport. Which is exactly what she was doing now, as she was driving towards the home of the Dunphy's, sipping on her coffee as she did so.
She had already prepared pretty much everything in Paris for their arrival. But certain aspects of the trip could not be done until they were in Paris themselves. This was mostly for things like shopping, which museums to go to, and whether or not they were going to head to Italy as well.
It was pretty much all up to Haley now.
With that in mind, Billie continued to drive to pick up her girlfriend, all the while, she had one thought on her mind.
'Time to head to Paris!
