[3rd POV]
"Wait...so you're actually moving in with Billie, like full blown?" Mitchell asked, wide eyed as Haley had just finished explaining her decision to move in with Billie, and her desire to find a house with her too.
"Yeah, we decided on it during Paris. We plan on actually finding a house after Christmas is over, and once Billie is done with the Ellen Show" Haley replied with a note, not seeing any reason to deny it.
They would find out about it sooner or later anyways, so it was better to have them learn about it now. That and Haley suspected that her grandpa might have some ideas on where they could find a house at. He did have quite a few friends that were wealthy and were in the real estate business.
"And you plan on actually living together? Do you even understand how much work goes into living with someone? How much it can cost to get a home and take care of it?" Jay asked, deciding to speak up now.
"We do. We did the research for it, Jay. And I've said it before, money is not really a problem for me. Not anymore. So buying a house that is worth like ten million dollars is not an issue" Billie responded, she was already prepared to spend up to around fifty million on a house, so ten wasn't a problem for her.
She also had prepped some other deals to do around the same time, mostly just investments and buying other properties that she can rent out and make some money on. She planned on primarily buying out low income apartments that were going under, and helping those that truly needed it, move in.
It would be a good way of helping others while still making some form of money. Besides the investments in big name companies at least, well, that and crypto which she had invested quite a bit into (but not enough to disrupt the market and cause problems). But those investments wouldn't really bring her much for another ten years or so.
"...And have you decided where you're going to live? Like, are you staying in LA? Or are you going to move out of the area and go somewhere else in California? Hell, are you even staying in California?" Jay asked, causing Haley and Billie to look at each other, realizing that the man in front of them was...worried about them.
It was kind of sweet.
"We are staying in LA, Jay. And we plan on finding a place closer to you, actually. We just need Phil's help to find a house and then we have to get it renovated and remodeled to have the things that we need" Billie replied, answering his questions.
"What sort of remodeling are you going to do? Cause I have a few cousins that might be able to help" Gloria asked.
"Well it matters what the house comes with. But we at least want to convert one of the rooms in the house into a recording studio, then there's the plan for a game room, a cinema, and some other stuff. We have to find the house first before we can really decide anything" Haley explained, as Gloria nodded in understanding.
That thought process did make a lot of sense. As matter of the house it may already have some of the things that she has been wanting. So why get the workers prepared beforehand when you don't even need them?
"And this house...when do you plan on having it by?" Cam asked, very interested. Mostly so they could throw parties there and stuff. As while Jay's house was nice and big, there was no way that it would even remotely compare to whatever house Billie and Haley were prepared to buy.
"Hmm, probably February or so. But it probably won't be fully ready until like April or May. Mostly because we'll likely have to do work on it either way" Billie explained.
"What are you going to do with your apartment?" Alex asked, also interested to hear.
"Hmm? Oh I'm still keeping it. I'll probably slowly but surely move everything out of it and then rent it out to someone else, or something along those lines" Billie replied after a few moments of thought.
Alex upon hearing this, looked deep in thought, before she asked a rather interesting question.
"...Could I rent it out? I mean, once I get that sort of money, which I will be able to, once I graduate. And even without that, the music that you were talking about earlier would probalby give me enough for it too" Alex asked, as Billie looked at her in surprise.
"Alex!"
"What mom? It's not like I'm going to move there immediately or anything, it'll be in a few years after I graduate from college, maybe sooner if I can make enough. You haven't properly seen it, but her apartment is incredible mom" Alex said, not understanding why her mom looked angry at her words.
"I don't see why you can't, and I don't mind on holding off on renting it out to someone else" Billie replied with a shrug, not minding it. It'd be better if it went to Alex anyways, as she was confident that the girl wouldn't cause problems, and she would almost certainly take good care of the apartment.
That and it was better for it to go to family than some random person she doesn't know.
"It'll be in the future anyways, so it's not a problem" Haley added, giving her mom a look of warning. Haley had been noticing the same thing that Billie had, and that was the self esteem issues that Alex had, and the fact that she was being borderline neglected by their parents.
They left her alone far too much, and it was not healthy. Haley already planned on talking with them about it, with Billie hopefully. But she could do it alone too.
"...Whatever you say" Claire mumbled, not happy with this conversation. She did not have hope for Alex moving out by herself. She was the most anti social person she had ever met.
And living alone might not be good for her.
"So...Billie, are you going to get your own car? Since Haley has her Ferrari, are you going to upgrade to something a bit...flashier too?" Gloria asked, as Billie looked over at her.
"Mmhmm, I've got two different car brands I plan on looking into. Koenigsegg and Bugatti. Once we get the house I plan on getting one of either or both, matters on the price" Billie replied, a little surprised at the question. She had been expecting Jay or Mitchell to ask that sort of thing, not Gloria.
"What the hell is a Koenigsegg? I've heard of a Bugatti, but never a Koenigsegg" Jay asked.
"It's a Swedish car company, luxury and beautiful cars. They're pretty new compared to the other older luxury companies like Bugatti or Ferrari" Billie answered, the man raising an eyebrow at this.
"How the hell are you gonna get one then?"
"Probably ship it out. Not sure if they even have dealerships here. And even if they did, they make their cars in extremely limited numbers" Billie replied with a shrug, she would be figuring that out later on once they actually got their house.
With that they soon began to talk about other stuff, as they all decided on having a nice long dinner together. It was a pretty chill day all things considered.
And as they soon began to head home, Billie knew that the next time she'd be seeing the entire family...it would be Christmas.
And it would be time to celebrate.
