[3rd POV]
Time had passed since the meeting with the family and showing off the new car and revealing their desire to move into a house together. As well as the fact that they had already moved in together on a on and off basis in the apartment.
During that time, a few things had happened. It was around a week, but it was a week before Christmas had truly began, and that tended to be a rather busy time. Mostly because of Christmas shopping, cleaning up the apartment and stuff like that.
During that week, she had done quite a few things.
For one, she had gotten into contact with the Kardashians for real this time. And had actually talked on the phone with Kris Jenner regarding the idea of helping teach her two youngest daughters a bit about music. She had been pretty up front about the fact that she wanted to at least have them try, just to see if they had any talent in the area.
Knowing how to sing could be useful in the future for other collaborations and plans. Like doing a show or movie that involved singing and dancing. This could be used to improve their pay and stuff like that.
Billie had talked to her for around an hour about what Kris wanted them to learn, why and what she expected out of it. She was also very up front about how if she was going to teach Kendall and Kylie, she wanted to be able to do it her way, and not have Kris step in and cause issues.
Kris had been fine with it, as while she knew a tiny bit about singing, she was obviously not on the level of the largest artist in the world at the moment. She had also told Kris about the idea of having Haley join.
Mostly because of aesthetics and what their personalities were like. Like how Kendall would likely mesh better with her style of music than Haley. While Kylie would almost certainly mesh well with Haley's style of music and that would make things easier for her.
Kris had not minded the idea at all, as the pay was not super crazy or anything, and it would make things easier for teaching them. Not only that, but with Billie pointing that out, she had to agree that the idea made more sense. Kendall REALLY liked Billie's music, while Kylie loved her too, she was more of a Haley fan than a Billie fan.
She loved her style. She wasn't a big fan of Billie's punk or emo like aesthetic. Which was valid, as it all mattered on the person. Like how some people liked rap music, and some people didn't. Or how some people liked metal music, and some didn't.
So Kris agreed to it. Since it would mean that Kylie would have a teacher that was more suited towards her style, and Kendall would have hers. She was a little surprised though when Billie had told her that instead of paying to her, she wanted her to donate the money she was planning on paying her, to the charity that she had sent her some information on.
Kris had sent her a picture of her donation an hour later, which Billie was thankful for as it showed that she genuinely had donated the money.
Besides talking with Kris, Billie had also been expanding her investments a bit. Most of them were almost entirely centered around the area of LA. But now that she was making enough money, she had decided on setting up a proper real estate company that she would own, but would have one of her trusted people run it.
She had also made sure that she would expand it through California first, and would try not to take advantage of people. There was already a few plans for investments in San Jose, San Francisco, Orange County, and a few other areas around the state.
She also had been looking into investments in Arizona, Oregon, and Washington State. The latter was the most expensive of the three for some obvious reasons. But it was also the one with the biggest potential, mainly because it was the Seattle area, and that entire city was expensive as shit. Not LA expensive, but it was damn near close.
She had also gone through a few of her other investments that she had been preparing. Like obtaining ownership of some coffee shops, small fast food chains, and a few more.
She wanted to be a proper billionaire even without her music. She loved music more than just about anything, but even she understood that money ran the world, and she needed money in order to deal with some of the problems that might show up in the future.
Said problems would involve some very powerful people. VERY powerful. Billionaires and politicians, or those involved. That or murderers and psycho's.
It was basically just her building up an insurance just in case. Even if she realistically didn't need more money, she was going to build it up either way. And she was going to do it while still keeping strictly to her own morals. She was going to be one of the very very rare moral and kind billionaires.
Not one that took advantage of others to cruel degrees and stuff like that.
Taking advantage of others was kind of just a part of business in general. But they tended to take it way too far, ruining their lives through it. She'd have to do it too, but she wouldn't be ruining their lives, and she sure as hell wouldn't do it unless she had no choice but to do it.
Besides her investments and the deal with the Kardashian/Jenner family, Billie had also been prepping the final touches for her apartment. Mostly because Haley insisted on making it absolutely perfect for Christmas, and had moved a few things around that admittedly did make it look nicer.
Haley was WAY better than her at aesthetics and making things look nice.
Billie preferred to just shove it somewhere she thought it fit.
Haley thought she was psychotic when she had brought up the idea of moving the tree into the middle of the room instead of the corner.
Billie was a bit pouty after that.
They had also done some more Christmas shopping, mostly on Haley's end. And for Billie it was actually her buying stuff for foods and desserts that she planned on making. One of them being her grandma's famous deviled eggs, which were the best in the whole world.
At least Billie believed so. She had yet to have any that were even close to her grandma's. Even her own were not on the same level, and she had followed the same recipe.
Billie was also planning on doing a ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and a few other Christmas foods that should naturally be in the dinner. While the dessert was going to have cheesecake, chocolate pie, key lime pie, and her grandmama's Green Jello Salad. Which had pineapple, pecans, marshmallows, whip cream, and the base was lime jello.
It was really good, even if it didn't look the best in the world.
Although Billie did understand that it was not for everyone, hence why she had the pies ready, as well as cookies and some other stuff that would be good alternatives for the family.
Either way, an entire week had passed, and it was finally Christmas Eve.
Billie just hoped everything would go well.
Cause if not...
Haley might murder her.
