Chapter 106 - Chapter 106: The Day Before the Visit

[3rd POV]

The new office had proven to be a good destruction up until her eventual visit to the Hollywood School of Arts. The office itself had also shown that it was not as easy to set up as she was expecting, and required her to keep an eye on it the entire time.

Mostly because it was a really important project that she could not afford to have go wrong. As should it work, and should the building next door be built properly, she should be able to increase their productivity by a shit ton.

Having a proper office that was able to hold hundreds of employees, instead of a decently sized converted warehouse that could properly hold only a few dozen employees at most. She still would have that warehouse, of course, but it wouldn't be the headquarters, and would just be a part of the company as a whole.

She had also properly named the company as well, both of them.

Her investment company had been dubbed "Omega Investments" which was a bit cringey, but it was the name that her workers had decided on, so she went with it.

While her other main company was simply called "Eilish Corp" which would start out solely working in the recording area, before she planned on eventually expanding into more merchandise than what they already did, as well as other things. Like videos, advertisements, short movies, voice acting, and more.

She expected that all of that would be done and running within the next two years.

She had not initially been interested in building a company like this, but she decided that she needed to. As money ran the world, and she needed money to properly be a musician at this level.

Plus it wasn't like what she was doing was all that special. Michael Jackson had been a billionaire when he was alive, and he owned a shit ton of music. Like the entire Beatles catalogue, making him extremely wealthy.

Probably why he died.

There was also others that invested in various things, like 50 Cent, Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, and more. All of them had investments in other businesses that had made them a ton of money.

So she was just going to do the same thing. Making money so that her life would be easier, and she wouldn't need to worry. While also being able to still do what she loves without too much of a worry.

Billie had been quiet about her new companies, but she knew it wouldn't take long for the public to find out about it. She hoped to keep the secrecy around for a bit longer, since she was not excited to deal with the backlash, but she knew that that would be pointless.

She had already started to work on getting another building for the company, expanding the employees, upgrading several things throughout her buildings, increasing the artists underneath her preview, and a ton more.

She was also looking into buying some sports teams that were not insanely expensive. Primarily ones in America as she was not interested in dealing with overseas stuff just yet. Even if the idea of buying a Premier League team was incredibly appealing.

But she first planned on starting out with the US, like maybe buying one of their soccer/football teams. The first to come to her mind was the Sounders down in Seattle, as they were one of the best in their league, and she had loved Seattle.

She realized that the next one was more interesting, this being baseball. She would probably need to save more money for this one though, as they tended to be expensive. But she likely would want to buy the Mariners, once again a Seattle team.

For American Football/NFL she'd go for either the Seahawks or the Detroit Lions. Either would be hectic as shit to deal with. But the biggest downside was that NFL teams were naturally very expensive, and as such, very annoying to deal with. That and many of the teams were set in their ways, and hated the chances. She would 100% buy one of the two taeams

After baseball there was Basketball, which she would probably go for the Lakers because they were by far her favorite team, both in her past life and her new one. But they were also a very very legendary team, so they would almost certainly be expensive as shit to buy.

Other sports that would be interesting would be Hockey, Soccer/Football in other countries like South America where there is no Premier League.

This was so that she could gain more money basically.

Billie expected to spend a few billion on all the teams she wanted, if not more. Thankfully it was only 2012 at the moment, so teams were just naturally cheaper thanks to the time period. Still expensive as shit, but actually plausible thanks to the current times, when everything was cheap as hell.

She would of course not just buy a team to buy a team. She would go for teams that she actually likes, is not too expensive, and is agreeable. So she wasn't sure about the Seahawks sadly. But she'd maybe get them in the future to stop them from getting grounded together. But that would be in the far future.

Either way, Billie had been very pleased with the situation, and had made sure to keep a close eye on it from then onwards. They also gave her another ploy at recruiting her, not that that would change her mind.

Billie was already pretty much a billionaire, so that much was not a problem what so ever. But hey, she needed more to properly build her company and make it into the juggernaut that she knew that it could be.

She'd need a few billion more at least to make the houseboat work well.

The meeting between Haley and Alex had also gone well, as the latter had bullied her out of wearing clothes that were too much or too little. And she had been very up front about what clothes of her choices were terrible to wear, and what wasn't.

Most of the clothes were just plain uncomfortable, and she was not about to get uncomfortable just so she could. And the actually comfortable clothes tended to be...well, kind of ugly to be honest.

But that is exactly what Billie had expected was going to happen.

Haley had even managed to get her sister to take part in the experience, and get her own clothes picked out. Haley had been equally as blunt about what worked and what didn't. It made things more expensive, but not by that much.

The clothes that Alex had insisted on getting were very similar to her normal clothes, but a bit fancier and pretty good looking. Perfect for why she had wanted them.

At the moment Billie was in the living room, listening to Haley singing Chandelier, as that was one of her choices for the first song to play at the high school. But Billie had sort of vetoed it, because the song had imagery that was just not appropriate at all.

Her ad also helped.

Listening to her girlfriend practicing, Billie had a small smile on her face, enjoying the sound of her girlfriend's voice. She was getting better and better at it, and she had even been interested in getting a longer song.

But that was for the future, at the moment Billie just listened to her singing, one thought on her mid as she listened to her.

'...I wonder what type of person Tori is in real life?'

Yeah, tomorrow was the day she was heading to the Hollywood institute of arts.

It'll be...an interesting day.

Hopefully.
