[3rd POV]
With the visit to the school coming the next morning, Billie also confirmed the visit to meet the Kardashian/Jenners for the next week or so. Primarily because she wanted to get it over with, but also because she was going to start getting very very busy over the next few months.
And she would probably be busy for several months once it started. Mostly because of the album, the coming up concert tour, the merch, her business that she still had to keep an eye on despite most of it running thanks to her employees, and several more.
So she didn't want to potentially cause problems with her scheduling by pushing it off. So doing it sooner rather than later was for the best. And the other reason was so that if she didn't have the time to do it, she could potentially have Haley help them out.
Billie had already asked Haley about the idea, should Billie not have the time on some of their potential practice dates. This was of course if they even went to have another practice beyond the first one. The potential future practices was all depending on whether or not the kids actually wanted to do it, enjoyed it, were good at it, and if Billie and Haley themselves were okay with it.
If Kylie and Kendall acted like brats and caused problems for them, then they would not teach them jack shit and would leave. Regardless of the backlash they might get from the rest of the family.
Neither cared about the opinions of their family.
But what they did care about was the fact that Kris might try something stupid should the teaching not go well. She doubted that it would go anywhere, since Kris shouldn't have any reason to complain about it. But still, it was best they were careful.
That something stupid would have been something like trying to publicly bash them, causing bullshit drama that would be incredibly irritating to deal with. It was one of the most important things for Billie and Haley, keeping out of drama.
Neither liked drama, as it made a lot of annoying people come out of the woodwork, asking questions that are not appropriate, and digging into their personal lives far more than what was ever appropriate. That would just cause a lot of problems, problems that neither of them wanted to deal with, and could realistically deal with.
Billie could stop paparazzi within reason. But when they start stalking them? Start following them? Start digging into their past like they were private detectors or some shit?
That was when even she couldn't stop them. At least, not without getting the cops involved, or getting a LOT of lawsuits involved. And she simply did not want it to get to that level.
She hoped that Kris wasn't that type of person in this world, but she had on idea. Just because Ellen was a better person, does not mean that the Kardashians are. As from what she could tell, they had largely gone down the same route as they had in her past life.
Except for a few minor things.
Stuff like personalities. With Kim being noticeably smarter than her past worlds counterpart, as in this case, she had actually gone to college and passed the BAR exam, meaning she could become a lawyer if she really wanted to.
She didn't, but she could.
Kourtney seemed a bit less...bitchy, and her relationship wasn't nearly as toxic as she remembered it in her past life. And certain relationships simply didn't happen because they didn't exist.
Like Kylie hooking up with Travis Scott. The man that would become the father of both of her children. Children that likely would not come to exist in the future.
Since he...you know, didn't exist. Which was a little weird, because Eminem, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, and plenty of other rap artists existed still. So she was kind of confused about why Travis didn't exist in this world.
He wasn't actually making music yet, but she had a few people look into it for her, and confirmed it. He didn't exist out there, meaning that at the very least, the Kardashian/Jenner family would be very different than what happened in the past world.
At the moment Billie was sitting in the living room, reading through the notes she had for tomorrow. She planned on doing a surprise concert for the kids there, as well as doing a surprise lecturing session for those interested.
She also had notes on what she planned on teaching Kendall and Kylie, with other notes made that Haley had written up herself. Mostly detailing stuff like what songs they should start out with, what techniques she should tell them of, what she should sing to show them how the techniques are in action, and the other thing.
How to deal with the camera.
Billie was pretty confident that a camera crew was going to be involved, as Kris would not pass up the chance to have this televised for their show. Billie didn't actually mind that much, as long as they were properly paid for being on the show.
She'd need to have her people get into contact should they wish to record her and have her in the show. But she didn't see it being a problem or anything. They'd probably pay a pretty penny just to have the biggest rising artist in the world appear on their show.
"Babe, I really think you're overthinking this" Haley said at her side, noticing her looking over the papers for what seemed to be the fourth time since she had written it. Billie had been doing this a lot recently, and not just with the papers in front of her.
Haley could only assume that this was a part of Billie, and was normal. She just hadn't noticed it before because she hadn't been living with her. But now that she was living together, it was pretty obvious.
She wondered if Billie had some form of ADHD or OCD or something along those lines.
She was beginning to think so.
"Hmm? Oh sorry, I just uh...I don't want to make any stupid mistakes tomorrow. You know, having to perform in front of a bunch of kids around our age. On top of having to teach those kids. It's just...different than the Ellen show or the concert" Billie replied, not really sure how to explain why she was taking this so seriously.
Maybe she just wanted to inspire other kids to follow in her footsteps?
"It's fine, babe. Just uh...maybe relax a little bit? I know that it might be a bit nervewrecking, but you shouldn't freak yourself out over it. You did the Ellen show just fine, and that was a lot bigger than this" Haley replied, waving off Billie's apology.
It really wasn't that big of a deal.
"...Alright, I'll try" Billie replied awkwardly, not really sure what to say beyond that. Billie soon returned to finish the last parts of the papers, before putting them down and moving to cuddle with her girlfriend once again.
They began to watch a new movie, which had been pretty...interesting? It was pretty campy and over the top. But it got laughs out of both of them, as they soon began to ignore the coming visit tomorrow, and instead just enjoyed the movie together.
All the while, Billie had one thought on her mind.
'Tomorrow is going to be...interesting'
