Chapter 108 - Chapter 108: Hollywood Arts School

[3rd POV]

Sitting in her car, Billie hummed as she waited at a stoplight. At her side was Haley, who was dressed up a decent bit. They were on their way to the Hollywood Arts School, which was where they would be performing today, as well as doing a bit of teaching for the kids.

Most of the kids were actually around their age, but still. As, as far as Billie knew, Tori was around 17 years old at the moment, so she was barely younger than them. She also knew that it was around season 3 in terms of the timeline, so Tori was actually getting somewhat close to graduating.

Which was interesting enough. The timeline was a little strange with the way it was set up, but she was pretty sure that even iCarly had been around for a decent while at this point. She wondered if that crossover would happen or had happened.

But she doubted it. As this world was not one to one when it came to events and people.

Like she knew of a certain law firm in New York that had the "Best Closer in the City" but the man was different than what she knew, as he had more rivals and such failed more.

She was half tempted to hire the man, knowing he was genuinely incredible at his job. But that would be a future thing, when she eventually went to New York for an extended period like she had talked about to Haley.

She wanted to live in New York for a few years once they were a bit older, primarily because there was just so much to do there. That and there was a LOT of shows that took place there, that she wanted to actually interact with.

Girl Meets World, Succession, Suits, How I met Your Mother, Gossip Girl, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Billions, and more.

Basically, it was a lot.

"What's the likelihood that the principal is waiting for us?" Haley asked, as Billie glanced at her upon hearing the question.

Billie just chuckled "Highly likely. If I hadn't told her to keep this on the down low, she would probably have the entire school populace outside waiting for us, waving banners and cheering our names or something"

"...Seriously?"

"Seriously. I only spoke to the woman for like an hour in total, and she struck me as the type to be a huge fan. I'm not sure if it was you or I that she was so excited over, but for some reason she was freaking out that we are actually coming" Billie replied, as Haley sighed.

"This is going to be annoying, isn't it?"

"I've honestly got no clue. But considering how she sounded? I think it might be a bit of a chore in the beginning, but after a bit she should chill out. I doubt we're the first celebrities to visit the school" Billie said with a small shake of her head.

She couldn't see it being that much of a problem.

"What's the principal's name again?"

"Helen Dubois. She became the principal not too long ago, so she's pretty new to the job. So don't expect her to be...great at the whole planning thing" Billie replied.

"The old guy retired" Billie added, seeing the question on Haley's face.

"Ah, makes sense. Why'd he retire though?" Haley asked, a little curious even if it didn't really matter.

"Pretty sure he wanted to retire to be with his wife or something. He'd been the principal of the school for a long time anyways" Billie replied with a shrug, not really caring too much about it.

Helen was a new principal, but Billie had hope that she was at least somewhat competent at her job.

Either way, she'd be seeing very soon whether or not she would do this again.

Arriving at the school, Billie drove in through the schools entrance, choosing to park at the teachers section as it is off to the side, and she was told to do so by Helen beforehand. Probably to not get more looks.

She had just taken a regular car this time, as she parked in the parking lot. Looking over, she saw the woman standing there, a bright smile on her face as she had evidently been waiting for her to arrive.

Chuckling upon seeing the woman, and the way Haley sighed, Billie got out of the car, and began to make her way towards her, Haley at her side.

"You must be Helen, right? The one that I spoke to on the phone?" Billie asked, as she stood in front of the lady. She seemed damn excited, but was actually controlling herself pretty well.

"Mmhmm, and you must be Billie, right? It's nice to meet you face to face!" Helen said, as she reached her hand out which Billie shook. She could tell that Helen was wanting to say more, but once again she seemingly held herself back before saying anything else.

'I wonder what she wants to ask' Billie thought, kind of curious to know. But decided against asking for now.

"Are all the kids in class?" Haley asked, which got a nod out of Helen.

"They are. They'll be out of class in around 20 minutes or so. At least, most of them are. The other half are out at lunch, so we have to be a bit careful about where we walk so we don't get caught" Helen replied, knowing that neither of them wanted to be seen until they did their performances.

Once the performance started it wouldn't matter, but they did not want to be seen before that. It would ruin the surprise and all that.

"So...uh, what's it like?" Helen asked, as they began to walk towards her office.

"What's what like?" Billie asked in return.

"Being a celebrity, the biggest singer on the planet. It's gotta be...weird, especially at your age" Helen explained, which got a smile out of Billie.

"Oh it is, ma'am. But it's also something I deeply enjoy, so I got used to it pretty quickly" Billie replied to her, which got Helen to shake her head.

"None of that ma'am nonsense. If you were one of my students I'd insist, but you are a guest here, so just call me Helen" Helen insisted, as Billie stared at her for a few moments before chuckling.

"Alright Helen. And yeah, it can be weird at times, with the fans that I have had to deal with. But it's fun, it makes money, and most importantly, it's something that I actually enjoy doing everyday" Billie replied. Helen seemed happy to hear this.

They soon made it to her office, passing by some really unique looking lockers, that were customized impressively well. With some of them having shining and flashing lights, or others being a literal instrument.

She wondered how wealthy the kids that went to this school actually were. Because there was no way in hell that this place wasn't expensive to attend. Most art schools were expensive, unless they were the free ones. But the free ones were not nearly as good as the ones you pay for.

Billie suspected it was thousands of dollars a year to attend, at the very least.

She remembered that most of the characters in the show seemed to have wealthy parents/guardians. So it would make a decent amount of sense.

It was basically a rich kid school. But for artists.

Stepping into the office, she soon found a seat across from Helen, Haley at her side as they both listened as Helen began.

"So...how do we wanna do this?"

Hearing the question, Haley and Billie looked at each other, before smirking and looking back, with Haley speaking up.

"Well...we have a few ideas"
