[3rd POV]
With her investments all going pretty damn well, and her deciding to continue her little teaching sessions with the Jenner siblings, Billie had found herself with a bit of freetime. Mostly because the Album was basically finished, and now it was just releasing what was left, which wouldn't come for a while.
All the advertising, social media, and that stuff, was basically just side gigs. Nothing too crazy or important, and would be handled almost entirely by her company which knew exactly how she wanted it done, and would have it done in that way. None of them would risk going against how she wanted it, since she had been planning it out for a while now.
Speaking of her company, during her couple of days of heavy investing into other companies, and working on some of her other things, she had gotten a few calls. These calls were...well, she wasn't sure if they were good or not.
They were calls from other people asking if they would be able to invest into her company. Which was not really something she had been planning or thinking about, since it was a private company at the moment, and was solely owned by her. Taking investments would mean that someone else would be getting a cut, and would be expecting a return on that investment.
She wasn't really that interested in the prospect, to be completely frank. That, and she had more than enough money herself to ensure everything ran smoothly and efficiently.
Now that by itself wouldn't be really anything to write home about, since she kind of figured this would come eventually. As it always did when your company got big enough, and with how big hers was getting and how fast, it was inevitable.
But it was the ones that wanted to invest into the company that had caught her attention.
Sony and Universal. The two largest music companies by a long shot.
Both of them wanted to invest a lot of money into her company, in return for shares of it in return. That...she wasn't sure how to feel about it. As the two companies would basically become partners in her own, and thanks to that, they would want some sort of control over her company.
But the investments themselves were a LOT of money. Like, hundreds of millions of dollars. She had no reason why, but she assumed it was because of her name being on the company. And while nobody knew exactly how much she was worth, most people assumed it was in the hundreds of millions of dollars range.
All it took was a few google searches and people would find out very quickly that she owned quite a few restaurants with several locations, had investments in other big companies, had investments in real estate, and owned entire apartment complexes.
She was honestly shocked that Forbes hadn't found out about it yet and done a piece on her. She was assuming it was coming sooner or later, as she was almost certainly the youngest self made billionaire, or one of them. Taking what would have been Kylie Jenner's title (which was later taken away since she falsified documents to make herself look richer. Or at least her team/company did).
In the end Billie did not take the deal, and opted to retain complete ownership over her company, and its decisions. She did not want to have to deal with either companies trying something against her. Since they were both massive, and had far far far more money to spend.
They made several times what she is worth a year. But she imagined that would change once her investments started to show fruit, and once she had started to save up enough to buy bigger chunks of some of these companies that would be worth tens of billions in the future. Like AirBnB, Uber, Spotify, etc.
There hadn't been much else in the investment side of things, and instead she had paid some more attention to her company's recruits.
Tori, Jade, Andre, and Cat had all been accepted like she had been expecting. And she already set aside some money to spend on their albums and other musical endeavors. Since Billie was confident that they would make her investment back pretty quickly. Tori would at least, Cat should as well since she had already sent off some songs she had written for her.
These songs were all of course Ariana Grande's, and would be perfect for Cat.
She had the right voice for it.
Billie had also started to talk with a few new contacts regarding fashion and makeup, since she knew of a few companies and people in those areas that would be fantastic investments. But she had to get Haley's help for that part.
At the moment Billie was not at home, but was instead at Jay's. Gloria had invited her over for lunch, just her. Jay was out with Manny and Haley, which was...well, she had no idea what Gloria was planning.
"So...is there a reason why you sent Jay and Haley off?" Billie asked, as she took a drink of water.
"Oh yes! I was sending them off because...I wish to ask you to make a song!" Gloria replied, getting a raised eyebrow in response.
"A song? For you and Jay or..."
"No no. I love Jay, I do, but I do not think a song would be a good gift for him. No, I wish for you to make a song in Spanish! You know how to speak it fluently, correct?"
"Yep, as well as French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and a couple of others" Billie replied, while inwardly going over the woman's words.
'Spanish huh...I have a few ideas for songs that could line up. And I have planned on diversifying and doing some music in other languages. And Spanish...well, I have a pretty huge artist in mind that does not exist in this world that I should be able to use the songs of' Billie thought, remembering the Puerto Rican man that sang at the Super Bowl in her past life.
She was thinking of Bad Bunny.
'His music should be fine for me to sing, I might have to swap around a few lyrics, but nothing that won't be in tune with what I already tend to do. It would also expand my audience by a ton, considering he was known world wide, and was by far the largest Spanish speaking artist, or at least the largest artist that sang in Spanish' Billie thought, before deciding to speak up as Gloria was trying to explain all the reasons why it would be a good idea to do songs in Spanish.
"Alright, I'll make some music in Spanish" Billie said, as Gloria was about to continue, her eyes widening at Billie's words.
"Really?"
"Mmhmm. I already planned on making some music in Spanish, so I'll just do an album. Not yet, of course, as I have my album coming up soon. But I'll do a Spanish one in a few months when I'm done with my other stuff" Billie replied with a small smile upon seeing how excited Gloria was getting.
The woman could be really sweet when she wanted to be.
Gloria only let out a loud excited squeal, before wrapping Billie in a bone crushing hug as the girl wheezed at the powerful hug.
Billie hoped that Gloria would not crush her to death before she could actually make the music.
She'd rather not die young.
