But evening came around too quickly for Adele and before she knew it, it was already time for her to leave and return to the castle. Ilya was waiting outside, and she bid her goodbyes to the old man before exiting his house, as she did not want to trouble his injuries. The maid kept her company till the car, passing on small presents from Davison.
Ilya should have been expecting a meet with her father.
This morning, he had received a phone call from someone from the Alpha's office asking him for the princess. Thankfully, they had already left the castle and the meet got postpond.
The trip back castle was silent and heavy. The easygoing and serene environment Adele had experienced at Mr. Davison's house seemed to have returned back to stressful one. Ilya did not speak since they left Davison's apartment and was just quietly driving the car. Adele seemed to be lost in her own thoughts.
