Chapter 36 – The Awakening of the Dark Ring
Our story begins from where it ended.
Navi and Jake Lee had already started fighting each other.
Jake Lee –
"What happened? Why are you throwing punches now?"
His black eyes were shining.
Navi –
"You are not Jake Lee."
Navi says to the black shadow, "Who is this? I'm getting a similar feeling from him. Don't tell me he is also a part of you."
Black Shadow –
"Hmm… he is a part of my shadow."
Navi –
"Are you crazy? This is not the time to joke."
Black Shadow –
"Why would I joke? Your body is so weak that a single punch from him is enough to kill you… and me as well."
Navi –
"But why is he trying to kill both of us? What did we do to him?"
Jake Lee –
"What are you thinking so much about? Who I am… and why I'm doing this?"
Suddenly he throws a powerful punch.
Instead, Navi's hand breaks from the impact. In pain, he falls to his knees.
Jake Lee grabs Navi by the neck and throws him out of the hospital.
Navi crashes through several buildings before falling far away.
Navi –
He says to the black shadow, "Do something. Take control of my body… help me win."
Shadow –
"I can't do anything.
Your body is too weak. If I take control, you will die instantly."
Navi –
"So you will just watch me die?"
He says while barely standing up.
Navi begins to feel extremely weak and shouts,
"Why am I so weak? Every time I have to beg just to survive. I had a friend… someone killed her… and I still don't know who did it."
Black Shadow –
"Shut up, foolish human."
"Listen to me carefully.
Thinking of yourself as weak is the greatest sin in this world."
"It doesn't matter whether you win or lose a fight.
What matters is how you fight."
"So stop thinking of yourself as weak and prepare yourself to fight."
At that moment, Jake Lee appears again, completely covered in black aura.
His aura had covered him so much that even his face could not be seen.
Jake Lee –
"Before killing you, I want to play with you… and bring out the one who is hiding inside you."
People nearby start running in fear.
(A scene from a little earlier is shown — when Jake Lee and Navi were standing near the window.)
Navi –
When he looks at himself in the mirror, he notices something strange.
Instead of one shadow, there are two dark shadows behind him.
Seeing this, Navi becomes shocked.
Jake Lee –
"Looks like you finally noticed."
Jake Lee's black eyes begin to glow.
"Now I have to kill you. I don't have any other choice."
Navi –
He immediately steps back and asks,
"Who are you?"
Jake Lee –
With an evil smile, he delivers a very fast kick.
Navi crashes through the room's door and falls outside.
(The past scene ends here.)
Back in the present, the military arrives and orders Jake Lee to raise his hands.
Navi shouts –
"Everyone run away from here!"
But suddenly drops of blood splash onto Navi's face.
He freezes in shock.
All the military soldiers who had arrived were already lying on the ground.
Jake Lee had killed them all.
He stands there holding a sword in his hand.
A terrifying silence spreads across the entire area.
In that deadly silence, Navi can clearly hear the sound of blood dripping from the sword.
Then the scene shifts to Kartik.
The black shadow had dragged Kartik somewhere.
Slowly Kartik regains consciousness.
Kartik –
"Where am I?"
Black Shadow –
"Looks like you're awake."
Kartik looks around and sees seven statues.
Each statue represents a dark side.
Above their heads, golden rings are shining.
Kartik tries to stand up but cannot move. His condition is getting worse.
Black Shadow –
"Don't move. It will only make things worse. The more you move, the more blood you will lose."
Despite the pain, Kartik gives an evil smile.
Kartik –
"You should pray to your god that I don't survive…
because if I do… you will regret it."
"I will make you cry… more than you can imagine."
Black Shadow –
"Has betrayal damaged your mind?"
Then it says,
"Do you know why I brought you here?"
Kartik –
"Yes… you want your power back.
You want to return to the form you had before."
Black Shadow –
"You know quite a lot."
"Alright… let's begin."
The shadow creates a formation around Kartik.
Kartik's body slowly begins to float in the air.
The golden rings above the statues start glowing and beams of golden light enter Kartik's body.
Kartik loses consciousness.
When Kartik wakes up again, he finds himself in a strange place.
As far as he can see, there is only water everywhere.
He begins walking through the water.
In the distance, he sees a boat.
Kartik walks toward it.
When he reaches the boat and sees the person standing on it, he says in shock—
"Wait… you are…"
And our chapter ends here. 🔥
