~Jade's POV~
The hallway outside the training hall felt colder than it had any right to be.
Maybe it was because I had just stepped out of the heated gym, taken a bath or maybe it was because my body still hadn't fully recovered from what Xander and I had done inside that building.
Either way, the cool air wrapped around me sharply, making me suddenly aware of everything all at once.
My heart was still beating faster than normal. My legs felt a little weak. And there was a dull, lingering ache between my thighs that made every step I took feel… noticeable.
I swallowed, adjusting the strap of my bag on my shoulder as I started down the long academy corridor.
Focus, Jade. You took a shower. You fixed your clothes. No one saw anything. Still, my body refused to cooperate with that calm logic.
Every few steps, my mind replayed flashes I absolutely did not need replaying right now. Xander's hand slamming the lights off, his mouth crashing against mine.
