"Where to?" Emmett asked after a long while, fiddling with the keychain.
It was a silver crescent moon, enclosing a tiny star made from a pearl.
The craftsmanship was exquisite. However, it didn't match Severine's style in his mind.
"Dorm."
That was the closest familiar place to where they were.
Not that Severine had other options. Going to the hotel with Emmett was bound to cause more trouble than it was worth, and she had no intention of bringing Emmett to Winterhall Enclave.
"That's good. I was thinking of heading back to the academy as well."
The engine roared back to life, taking them back into the confines of the academy walls.
The parking lot had dedicated spaces for all students. Taking advantage of Severine's silence, Emmett quietly steered the black car toward his own vacant spot.
Perhaps she didn't notice it, or she didn't care. She went directly toward the back trunk, pulling her suitcase out.
The round wheels hit the floor with a soft thud.
