Severine's eyelids twitched twice. She tilted her head toward the kitchen.
A broad back filled her vision, bustling over the marble counter, cooking god knows what.
After bringing her home, Killian hadn't left. The young lord—despite being an elite in business management—had a hard time managing kitchen utensils.
Good thing she had asked her housekeeper aunt to make some changes.
The refrigerator was now closer to the edge of the counter, making it easier for Killian to store things inside. The new coffee pot had been placed in its designated area, secured by a small fence-like structure.
Even if it was accidentally pushed, it wouldn't topple anymore.
The housekeeper had also restocked the cleaning supplies with sturdier ones.
The evening sun cast bright golden rays on Killian as he bent near the kitchen window. It gave him an angelic halo.
For a moment, the chaotic kitchen looked strangely peaceful.
