Killian had noticed the healthy flush slowly returning to her pale skin over the past few days.
During every meal, he had to coax her to eat a few more bites.
His efforts weren't in vain. Severine had started eating more than half a bowl without his nagging.
That sight would always bring him a sense of satisfaction.
Maybe this was what his nanny told him. Something about feeling happy when he ate all her cooking?
Although still thin and fragile, she looked even better than before. Just sitting there, she drew all the attention in the room.
His boot made a soft noise as he walked toward her.
"Help me wear it?" he asked, showing the cuff links.
"Hmm." Severine nodded.
Despite her expressionless face, she was quite pleased.
Killian was wearing what she had bought. That could only mean he liked it.
