Chapter 318 - Vol. 2 - Chapter 302: Three Questions

After Yemu gave the order, the four of them briefly got acquainted, then immediately got to work.

Their main task was to arrange housing for everyone who had moved here from the ships before nightfall.

Fortunately, thanks to Yemu's advance notice, everything had already been prepared.

Fes had already worked out the arrangements, ensuring that everyone had a place to live while making reasonable use of the available space and allowing people to look after one another. Temporary small households were formed one by one.

Couples who had relocated together were assigned separate homes.

For families with only women and children, they arranged for two women to live together whenever possible, making it easier for them to support each other.

The entire harbor instantly became lively and busy.

Led by members of the Harrot Tribe, the new immigrants from Baterilla Island arrived in front of their new homes.

Looking at the uniquely styled stone houses and courtyards before them, the hearts of the newcomers from Baterilla Island finally settled completely.

"So this is our new home?" ... While the harbor was bustling with activity, Yemu had already gone alone to the very center of the island.

Beneath the Rainbow Tree, which shimmered with dazzling, colorful light.

A month had passed, and the Rainbow Tree had grown a full ten meters taller.

At this rate, perhaps one day it really would become a new Eve Tree.

However, Yemu had not come here to admire the scenery.

As his body slowly approached the massive trunk of the Eve Tree, a resin-like substance began to seep from him. Once it left his body, it transformed into a small, faceless yellow figure that landed in Yemu's palm, then floated up. Slowly, as if merging into it, the figure entered the branches of the Rainbow Tree.

"Grow quickly, Yemu No. 3!"

As Yemu No. 3 entered the branches, a red glow and flames appeared on Tengoku and Shishimaru at Yemu's waist. They flew into the air as well, transforming into two small figures before flying into Yemu's body.

At that moment, Yemu let out a long breath.

His powers had returned.

And this was the method Yemu had used to eat a third Devil Fruit, the Fuwa Fuwa no Mi.

Yemu No. 1, the Mera Mera no Mi, and Yemu No. 2, the Atsu Atsu no Mi, had already fully awakened their own consciousness and received a portion of Yemu's soul and life force. They did not mind Yemu No. 3, the Fuwa Fuwa no Mi, being added to Yemu's body.

But the Fuwa Fuwa no Mi, which had not yet awakened its own consciousness, was still in its most primitive Devil Fruit state. It could not accept the presence of other Devil Fruits inside the user's body.

So this was the only method available. Yemu No. 1, the Mera Mera no Mi, and Yemu No. 2, the Atsu Atsu no Mi, would temporarily reside inside the two swords, Shishimaru and Tengoku. Then, while Yemu was in a non-user state, he would eat the Fuwa Fuwa no Mi and use the portion of the Soru Soru no Mi's power within his body to grant the Fuwa Fuwa no Mi his own soul and life force. Finally, through the Rainbow Tree, it would be reborn as Yemu No. 3, the Fuwa Fuwa no Mi.

So for now, he would have to stay here for a while...

That worked out well. He could use this time to begin preparing his country to move out of chaos and onto the right track... ... The arrangements for the new immigrants from Baterilla Island went more smoothly than expected.

Before the sun had even set, everyone from the two warships had moved into their new homes in an orderly fashion.

As thin trails of cooking smoke began rising from the once-empty houses, people started fires and prepared their meals. For these new immigrants, their new life in the Rainbow Kingdom had begun.

After everything was handled, Dana, Modlin, Fes, and Aming let out long breaths of relief. But instead of resting, they made their way to the very center of the island.

Under the beautiful glow tinged with the last light of sunset, a round patterned picnic blanket had been spread on the ground, covered with all kinds of food. Several cushions had been laid beside it, and on one of them, little Gaos sat obediently.

"Sit wherever you like. Oh, let me introduce him to you two. This is Ron's younger brother, Gaos from the Tontatta tribe. He prepared all the food today."

After the four of them sat down, Fes and Aming introduced themselves.

"Hello. I'm Tadas Fes. You can just call me Fes."

"My name is Saranojo Minsen. You can call me Aming. Your brother Ron calls me that too!"

Because of his shy personality, Gaos only glanced at the two of them bashfully before greeting them.

"Hello, Fes-san, Aming-san. I'm Gaos from the Tontatta tribe!"

After spending the past two months with Gaos, Dana had become much more familiar with him, so she introduced him on his behalf.

"Just like his older brother Ron, Gaos is very skilled at cultivating plants. Whether we'll be able to eat food we grow ourselves in the future will depend on them."

Seeing this, Yemu also praised him.

"That's right. I saw it today too. The crops and plants on the island are all growing very well. You've worked hard."

"So that's it. You cultivated all of them? You really are dependable."

Fes also showed his goodwill.

Being praised by so many people at once made Gaos instantly embarrassed. He shook his head and said,

"No, it was because everyone helped that they grew so quickly."

"That still doesn't change the fact that you've done an excellent job, Gaos. If Ron saw this, he would definitely be very happy."

Gaos's cheeks flushed at once, and joy filled the corners of his eyes.

"Alright, let's eat first. We can talk after dinner."

As dinner went on, the sun gradually set. The Rainbow Tree lost its glow, and the entire island sank into night.

Only beneath the Rainbow Tree did clusters of campfires continue to burn.

Seeing this, Yemu pointed toward the darkness covering the distant parts of the island and said,

"When the island is still brightly lit even at night, that will be when our country has truly been established..."

Everyone present seemed to understand something from his words.

Yemu looked at the five people in front of him, then asked a question.

"What do you think is the most urgent issue for us right now if we want to achieve that dream?"

Once the question was asked, everyone present, whether Dana, Modlin, Aming, or Gaos, looked blank. Only Fes thought for a moment before speaking.

"Yemu-sama, I believe there are three most important things right now..."

"Oh? Tell me."

Fes thought it over, then put his thoughts into words.

"These are some issues I noticed after speaking with the people on the island this afternoon."

"The first issue is that I found the people on the island don't know the name of the country Yemu-sama wants to build..."

"The second issue is that the people on the island don't seem very clear about Yemu-sama's title either..."

"The third issue is the one Yemu-sama mentioned before. The island's construction lacks a concrete plan and is still at the stage of simply doing whatever is needed at the moment..."
