"So, you told your father, huh?"
Elias leaned against the side of his motorcycle, parked near the river where no one else was around to disturb them. He cocked his head toward Lynsandra, who was sipping the morning coffee he had bought for her.
She glanced at him and smirked. "Does it make you nervous?"
"Nervous? Me? Hah!" He laughed, only to stop and nod. "Yeah. Very much."
"Pfft—"
"Is he going to kill me?" he asked, watching her arch a brow. "His daughter is going to choose her mate so soon, and she'll become a married woman."
Lynsandra smiled as she watched him list off ridiculous concerns as if he hadn't already gone through the brutal selection.
Elias ruffled his hair. "Ugh… what do I do? It's not like your dad is just any man. He's the Alpha King."
He looked up, thinking about it.
"The Alpha King is going to be my father-in-law?" He rocked his head, his face twisting. "I must've done something life-changing in my previous life."
