"Congratulations on your engagement, Your Highness," Evander expressed as he walked alongside Lynsandra toward the chapel. "I'm truly happy that you've decided to end this harem and choose the person you believe is right."
Lynsandra let out a light chuckle, studying him from the corner of her eye.
"Are you that satisfied, Reverend?"
"Haha," he chuckled softly. "I wouldn't say satisfied. Rather… I'm glad you've finally found someone."
She slowly nodded, peeling her attention away from him as her eyes settled on the chapel doors.
Since she would be marked tonight, Lynsandra had asked Evander to witness her prayer for the Goddess's blessing before the marking ceremony. It was not mandatory, but as part of the Royal Family, she wished to avoid the lengthy traditional rites.
That was one of the reasons she had gone directly to the Alpha King.
As long as the prayer was witnessed and blessed by one of the Goddess's servants, there would be no need for the long ceremonies.
