Sullivan cleared his throat, tasting the desert. It tasted like he was eating saccharine. Anna still had the same expression, like she was hiding a laugh at what Angelo said.
"Hilarious." Sullivan remarked without any humour. Infact his tone was flat and he pushed the plate aside, taste bud now null and dry. "But why praytell do you supose it's absurd?"
She flexed her hands, eyes going from her almost finished desert to his that he obviously wasn't going to touch again. "Cos it can't be real." She pointed to his plate. "You don't want that again right?"
He nudged the plate further to her side and Anna's lips widened into a bright smile. She devoured her own desert in less than a minute, licking her lips at the sweetness. The shiny gloss she had on was erased by now and Sullivan smirked a tiny bit.
