Six months pregnant and I closed the deal of a lifetime.
Merger with a Fortune 500 events company. Not an acquisition. A true merger. Equal partnership. Kane & Morrison becoming part of something bigger while maintaining autonomy.
The contract was three hundred pages. Took four months to negotiate. Sarah and I had practically lived at the lawyer's office.
And now, six months pregnant, showing obviously, I was signing the final papers.
"Congratulations Mrs. Voss." Their CEO shook my hand. "This is going to be a game-changer for both our companies."
"Thank you. We're excited for the partnership." I smiled. Professional. Confident. Even though my feet were swelling and my back was killing me.
The photos for the press release were something. Me, visibly pregnant, signing merger documents. Sarah beside me. Two women building an empire.
The headlines wrote themselves.
